I've taken care of animals since I was a teenager. My family owned and operated an Australian Sheperd breeding business for about 10 years in which I was an integral part. My duties included letting dogs out for potty breaks/playing, feeding, puppy corral cleanup, puppy quality time, helping to give vaccinations, medications, and bathing. Once our breeding dogs were older my parents decided to dissolve the business and I found work at a horse farm. I worked at the horse farm for approximately 4 years. The family I worked for relied on me to care for about 30 horses, 5 dogs, 2 cats, some sheep and several chickens. I fed them, gave them fresh water, bathed animals, cleaned out animal stalls and refreshed their bedding, gave medications and followed specific dietary guidelines for specific animals. Once I graduated from college, I started a job in the healthcare field, and I had three dogs and two cats of my own. In my free time I would provide dog care, dog walks and doggy sitting for people in need. Caring for animals is so rewarding and I can't wait to help others again!
