Safety, trust & environment
Given I live in a home with a puppy and cats, I am practiced at being mindful around ensuring cats are safely distanced before opening doors to the outside. I also can make sure that everything is put away before leaving if your pet is left free roaming before I go. As a fellow pet owner, I really care about following your instructions in every detail!

Information Emily K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know what your priorities are for someone caring for your babies! I know how much you love your animal and just want to give them as close to the love and care as I can while you are gone!
A typical day
Depending on what you request, I can take your dog on a long walk, run, to the dog park, play fetch - whatever you are comfortable with! I will definitely respect whatever activities you desire to make sure your dog is safe and comfortable when with a new person. I can also play with toys at home, like tug of war or I can make DIY puzzle games!

Pet care experience
I have experience with all sorts of temperaments and needs! I’m on the board of a husky rescue and so I regularly take rescue dogs out to events, in addition to providing socialization and training. I have two huskies who I got when they were both 8 weeks old, so I have lots of puppy experience as well. I’ve also cared for other kinds of big dogs, like pit bulls. One of my dogs is a therapy dog, so I’ve received training in recognizing stress signals in dogs. I can be sure to read your dog’s emotions carefully to ensure they have a very safe and happy time with me! I’m also happy to do a meet and greet beforehand. I love to hike and run so I can get your dog as much exercise as you want!

Reviews
Emily is an experienced, responsible, and compassionate dog caretaker, including for her adorable husky Laska and for my chihuahua Herschel. I trust her with my dog and would recommend her to others.
Emily is an amazing choice for a dog walker or dog sitter. I only trust here! She is punctual, shows up to appointments fully prepared and excited to see my little pup Caro and my 40 pound husky Tula. She can handle both big and small dogs, and is gentle with them. I highly recommend Emily for any of your dog needs!
Emily is one of the most genuinely kind and compassionate individuals I have had the privilege of knowing. She is always willing to compromise her own plans for her dog to have a better day and not be left at home. Emily knows what it means to treat a dog as family and I would never hesitate to entrust her with caring for one.
