I currently work part-time in the nonprofit sector and am wanting to supplement my income with more work that I love! I'm seeking pet drop-in and dog walking gigs, on a regular/ongoing basis would be great. I'm not offering overnights at this time, but may be able to arrange this in the future if it's a good fit.

It is important for me to know how the dog interacts with other dogs, cats, and humans while on walks and what tools are helpful for potential unwanted behaviors. I have experience working with puppies and dogs that are being trained for certain behaviors and can be consistent with owner's habits and training techniques.
A typical day
I'm happy to participate in playtime, with toys, chasing, and lots of pets and positive verbal cues. I'm available for walks or spending time at dog parks. I LOVE taking photos and will share as many updates as you want!

I have been pet/house sitting since June 2017. I grew up with three labs, and am slightly biased toward larger dogs, but have met some wonderful smaller dogs and have grown to love them as well. I am happy to accommodate to the pet's needs (i.e. early mornings, lots of playtime, special needs, low energy, medications etc.) I enjoy the outdoors and am available for walks and am particularly interested in something regular - like a couple scheduled times per week. I also love cats, I have one of my own, and have experience administering medication.

Emily took care of my dog Gertie, while I was in the hospital. For three weeks, Gertie was loved and cared for as if I was home. I also received picture texts of Gertie while I was gone. I trust Emily to care for Gertie, feed, water, and walk her in a timely manner. Emily is calm and easy going and Gertie attached to her quickly. Emily is trustworthy and I never had to worry if Gertie was being cared for. She's a great dog sitter <3
I would highly recommend Emily as a caregiver. She is a conscientious, responsible individual who loves animals. She is great about playing and entertaining animals that have lots of high energy. She gets to know their individual personalities and making sure they follow their routine. She cared for my pup Zora and was a great support when she passed away. Emily would do a great job taking care of animals young and old, large and small.
