Safety, trust & environment

Safety is a top priority—dogs are always supervised, introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully, and I will communicate regularly with owners by providing updates and photos. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I strive to keep them comfortable, happy, and stress-free while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. We provide regular potty breaks, daily walks on nearby trails if needed, playtime in our fully fenced backyard, and lots of affection. Dogs can eat separately from our own dog if needed, and we’re happy to accommodate specific feeding schedules, dietary needs, or preferences. We do ask that your pet is kennel trained to sleep in overnight until we are comfortable with dogs sleeping out of their kennel.

Information Emily & Josh B. would like to know about your pet

Any resource guarding issues or things that can trigger them to avoid? Are they kennel trained? Do they counter surf or chew on furniture or other household items? Do they have separation anxiety or bark in the middle of the night?

A typical day

We have several toys to play with in the backyard including numerous tennis balls. Hide and go seek, hide toys for them to find, and play chase with my son because he loves to follow our dog everywhere! Our neighbor dog loves to run up and down the fence line with our dog so I’m sure he would love more company to chase!

Big hearts for little paws!

Pet care experience

In 2019, we expanded our family by four paws and welcomed our dog, Ruger, a mini Irishdoodle, into our home. While occasionally traveling, I was searching for a more personalized care option for him, and we instantly fell in love with Rover. We’ve been using the service ever since and have found a loyal and trustworthy community through it. Fast forward to 2024, and we expanded our family once again—this time by two little feet! I now stay at home with my son, Wesley, and am excited to become a full-time Rover caregiver myself. While my professional experience with Rover spans over six years, my overall experience caring for dogs goes back much further. I grew up in a farming community where we owned several dogs, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. We also care for my brother- and sister-in-law’s Maltipoo from time to time. Ruger and my son do great with other dogs, and we would love to welcome new furry friends into our home. We live in a safe, friendly neighborhood with great walking trails nearby. Our backyard is fully fenced, and we have plenty of toys to keep your pet happy and engaged!

So great with Murphy! Will be rebooking with them every time we need to go out of town. Emily updated us with many pictures and videos.

Emily is absolutely wonderful and someone you can trust with your pet. She is a full-time stay-at-home mom with a beautiful house and a great backyard where dogs have plenty of space to play and relax. Her dog, Ruger, is super friendly and does great with other dogs, which immediately creates a comfortable and safe environment. Emily has a genuine heart for animals and is extremely detail-oriented. She is reliable, responsible, and communicates very clearly—you will feel confident immediately knowing your dog is in loving, trustworthy hands. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for safe, dependable, and compassionate care.
