I'm well-versed in handling reactivity and reading dog body language. It's important to me to never push a dog into a situation where they feel uncomfortable. I'll ask you questions to fully understand your dog's temperament, needs, and preferences. Plus, I'm more than happy to provide notes and pictures of my visits. If your pup tends to be wary of new people, I suggest booking a few visits to help them feel more comfortable and minimize any stress. When it comes to building a bond with your furry friend, I always opt for force-free approaches

Emily is amazing. I have a fearful reactive pup who is picky with people he meets. Emily and I have been working together the past couple weeks on building the relationship and I’m so proud of the progress of my dog. It’s hard to meet people who understand dog behavior and energy, and I’m so happy we found Emily.

Emily was fantastic with our two pups - including one sweet but large and leash-reactive rescue dog! She went above and beyond in making sure that our dogs got to work out some of their mental and physical energy (even on days with heavy rain), and it was obvious to us when we got home that the two pups were much more happy and calm than they would have been otherwise. Will definitely be reaching out to Emily the next time we need help!

Schedule
I set my own schedule, which means I understand how crucial it is to maintain a predictable routine for our furry friends. I'd love to hear all about your pup's typical day so we can work together to create a plan that keeps things consistent for them. Overnight Stays: I offer a 12 hour period in-home care. The start and end times may vary per day. An example of a 12 hour period is as follows: arrive at 7pm and depart at 7am. I will also provide up to 2 drop-in visits of a minimum of 30 minutes during the day to ensure quality time for play, walks, and love. Overnight stays include meal feedings morning & evening, medications if applicable, and general cleaning. I can also help with bringing in mail, trash day, and watering plants.
