I aspire to be a veterinarian and am attending vet tech school in Fall 2026. As of now, pet sitting is the only work I do, so my schedule is very flexible. August 25th through December 15th I will be unavailable on Tuesday’s due to my mandatory veterinary lab classes.

Having volunteered in animal shelters for 5 years, I have a good understanding of both dog and cat body language. Moving at your own pet’s pace is of utmost importance to me. When it comes to reactive pets, I believe that patience, reassurance, and confidence are key. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness between clients is of utmost importance to me. Having two kittens at home with sensitive immune systems means that thorough hand washing and cleaning between clients is crucial for me.

Every dog has different needs. Please let me know if they have any medications or allergies I should be aware of, and I will accommodate accordingly.
A typical day
I love to make sure that the pets I watch have both physical and mental stimulation. For physical exercise, walks, fetch, and lots of toys. For mental stimulation, I love to provide dogs and cats with lick mats and puzzles to keep them entertained. I am happy to drive your dog to the park as well!

I love dogs and cats equally. I have experience with both puppies and seniors as well as training for basic commands. What’s unique about me is that my love for animals extends to all species. I have experience with exotics, including reptiles, rodents, and rabbits. I grew up with dogs, and currently own two cats and a hognose snake!

Emily was great. Not only did she take very good care of our precious dog Pebbles, our neighbors and local business employees committed about the good job Emily did taking care and walking Pebbles. Emily stayed at our home for two weeks while we were out of the country. She sent us daily photos and updates. My wife and I would highly recommend Emily to take care of your pets.
