Meet Emily and Francisco!
We’re Emily and Fran, a couple who’ve been caring for pets together for over five years. We’ve grown up with dogs, cared for them through different stages of life, and deeply understand their needs. Fran grew up with Tauni (a beloved Westie who passed away) and Lio (a spirited Miniature Schnauzer now with family in Puerto Rico), which means we know small breeds, senior dogs, and the special, tender care they deserve. Based in Chicago, we’re a team with complementary schedules: Emily works full-time, while Fran is home full-time. This means your pet gets consistent, attentive care with the flexibility and supervision that comes from having someone home. We share all responsibilities when caring for your furry friend, ensuring they receive our complete attention and love. Whether it’s a quick walk, an overnight stay, or day care, we bring the same devotion and patience we learned caring for the dogs we love. We both love exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods together! Neighborhood strolls, park visits, lakefront adventures. But we also understand that every dog is unique, so we tailor activities to their personality, energy level, and comfort zone. Your pup will feel safe, engaged, and genuinely cared for while you’re away.

Emily and her partner were absolutely wonderful with our older sweetheart, Molly. We were kept apprised of her wellbeing the entire week through texts and photos and we returned to find her very comfortable and happy. We will definitely be using Emily for future doggy care needs!

Schedule
My partner Fran is home full-time, which means your pet gets consistent, attentive care throughout the day. I work full-time during the week, but we share all responsibilities, Fran provides the steady presence at home while I’m there for additional care, support, and activities in the evenings and weekends. This gives your pup reliable supervision, flexible scheduling, and two people dedicated to their comfort!

Safety, trust & environment
We live in a safe, pet-friendly high-rise in Gold Coast with direct access to Washington. Our home is clean, secure, and comfortable with plenty of natural light and a non-smoking environment. Your pup will enjoy constant companionship since Fran is home full-time. We keep detailed notes on your dog’s routines, preferences, and special needs, follow your instructions closely, and are experienced with medication administration and special care requirements. You’ll receive regular photo updates and communication so you’re always connected to your pup’s day.
A typical day
We love being active and outdoors! We’ll take your pup to Washington Park, stroll through the neighborhood, or head by the lakefront, whatever matches their energy level. For homebody pups, we’re happy playing indoors with fetch and giving them plenty of cuddle time. Every dog’s day is customized to their personality. We always include walks for exercise, playtime to keep them engaged, and lots of love and attention.
