At Em & Arlo Pet Care, we are dedicated to providing a loving and attentive environment for your pets. I am home full-time caring for your pups and my running my online Etsy shop. With my husband and retired mother living with us, there's almost always someone around to keep the pups company. Our days include plenty of outdoor playtime, cozy cuddles, enrichment activities, and more! Our drop off and pick up times are tailored to accommodate your schedule, with business hours extending from 7 am to 10pm Monday-Saturday and 8am-9pm Sunday. For clients needing drop-offs before 7 am or late pick-ups after 10 pm, booking can be adjusted to drop-off the evening before or pick-up the next morning. If you opt for me to handle the drop off and pick up, rest assured that the rates are calculated based on the 2026 IRS rate of 73 cents per mile to the client's home and back, ensuring fair and transparent pricing for our services.

We make sure that all exits are securely locked and gated to prevent any pets from escaping. With a spacious, securely fenced yard for outdoor playtime and a puppy-proof home, your pets will have a blast. Our yard is dog-proof, and we also use 50ft long lines for added security for any dogs who may be escape artists. We are vigilant in monitoring all pets, especially when they are outdoors, to ensure their safety at all times. We take precautions to keep any potentially hazardous objects out of reach and closely monitor all pets for any signs of distress or unusual behavior. Rest assured that if any issues arise, I am well-prepared to act swiftly and in the best interest of your pets. During feeding time, we keep all pets separate to avoid any conflicts. If dogs are left alone at home, we ensure that all pups from different families are separated and take extra precautions to guarantee their safety. If your dog is accustomed to being crated, we will follow that routine to provide a sense of security. What sets us apart from other pet sitters is that we are fully insured with our private insurance policy, in addition to the Rover Guarantee. We are passionate pet care professionals, dedicated to providing the best for your furry friends—this isn't just a hobby for us; it's our mission! We maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of our home. Before and after every stay, we thoroughly clean and sanitize all the spaces to ensure that all dogs in our care stay healthy and happy while they are with us. In order to ensure the safety of our family, pets, and yours, we require a meet and greet session before confirming any bookings. This allows us to assess if we are the right fit for each other and how best to care for your dog during their stay with us.

•IMPORTANT INFO FOR YOUR PUP’S STAY• We love learning about the background and personality of the dogs we are caring for. It is important to us that all pups are friendly toward people and other animals. To ensure the safety of all dogs in our care, including our own, we cannot accept aggressive dogs or those with a history of biting for boarding or daycare. However, puppies who playfully bite are acceptable as they are still learning to interact with others. In compliance with our insurance policies and local regulations, all dogs must be up to date on vaccinations for their age, such as Bordetella, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo), Leptospirosis (lepto), Rabies, and flea/tick/heartworm preventives. We do not require the canine influenza vaccination to complete services, but it is strongly recommended by vets for dogs who will be in doggie daycare and/or boarding. Proof of vaccinations will be required to ensure the safety and health of all dogs in our care. Rabies vaccination is mandatory for all dogs and cats in our county. A form will be provided to upload your pet's vaccination records. Please let us know if your pup has any special schedules, dietary requirements, or specific needs, as I am willing to accommodate them if necessary and informed in advance. Normally, I provide 1-3 daily photo bursts updates of your pet and a daily summary of activities. If you would like more frequent updates, please inform me in advance, to ensure that I can accommodate your request.

•A DAY IN YOUR PUP’S LIFE• I am a firm believer in the importance of providing mental stimulation for dogs in addition to physical exercise. During our time together, I enjoy engaging in enrichment games and outdoor activities to keep your dog's mind sharp and engaged. I also love to incorporate short training sessions focusing on fundamental skills such as heeling on walks, sitting, and recall. Of course, there will always be plenty of delicious treats involved. In the warmer months, we even have a special doggy pool for some refreshing fun in the sun!

Emily was wonderful with Cosmo 🥹 Moving from CA to MN has been a huge adjustment for him, so I was nervous leaving him with a new sitter, but she made him feel comfortable right away. Updates and photos were frequent, communication was great, and Cosmo came home happy and completely knocked out after haha. Overall such a good experience - would definitely book with her again 🤍
This was the first time we left our dog with Emily as our regular sitter wasn’t available for the first 3 days of our trip . Emily arranged a meet and greet as soon as we contacted her. Her yard was very dog friendly and all the pups seemed happy and well cared for. I don’t even know how to explain what an amazing experience we had with Emily. First of all, the communication was swift and professional. Secondly, Emily gave us such amazing updates on what our dog experienced each day including very creative stories and many pictures. Her writing skills are works of art and she captured our dog’s personality and experiences impeccably. I told her she should publish her stories as they truly are beautifully written and entertaining. We felt very connected to our dog and what he was experiencing. On top of all this she took the dogs on walks and personally delivered our pup to his regular sitter for us - after she treated him to a pup cup at a coffee shop, of course. I know our dog, Croix, had a wonderful time being cared for by someone so in tune with him. I wouldn’t hesitate to send him there again or recommend others to use Emily as their caregiver!
