Safety, trust & environment
I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and loving environment that fits your pet’s unique needs and routine. I always take time to understand your pet’s preferences, energy level, medical needs, and any special instructions you provide. In your home, I aim to maintain your pet’s familiar routine as closely as possible—this means consistent feeding times, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and lots of affection. I also keep your space clean and secure, making sure your pet is happy and safe while you're away. With my medical background, experience with dogs who have special needs, and training in pet CPR and first aid, I’m confident in handling both routine and emergency situations with care and calm.

Information Emily H. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, it’s super important for me to know their routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can provide the best care possible. I always like to ask about: Medical needs (medications, allergies, or conditions) Feeding schedule and dietary restrictions Behavioral traits (are they shy, reactive, high-energy, cuddly, etc.) How they do on walks or around other dogs/people Favorite toys, games, or calming techniques Any fears or triggers (like storms, loud noises, vacuums) Commands they know or training you’re working on Emergency contacts and vet info Knowing all of this ahead of time helps me tailor their care and keep their experience as stress-free and positive as possible—just like they’re at home with family!
A typical day
We’ll start the day with a walk or some active playtime to get their energy out—whether that’s a game of fetch, tug-of-war, or a sniffari around the neighborhood. Throughout the day, I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding times, potty breaks, and any medications or care needs. Depending on your pet’s personality, I tailor activities just for them! High-energy pups might enjoy training games, brain puzzles, or longer walks. More mellow pets might love sunbathing, cozy couch time, or slow-paced enrichment activities like licking mats or snuffle toys. Most importantly, I spend quality time making sure your pet feels loved and secure while you're away. Whether it's belly rubs, brushing, or simply keeping them company, I make sure they’re happy and cared for from morning to bedtime.

Reviews

Good first rover experience! Emily was great with the dog and was able to calm my nerves by sending a picture of her l. I look forward to using her services in the future!

It was our first time using rover and we were nervous leaving our cats in the care of a stranger. Emily was fantastic and made sure to send photos which put us at ease. You can just tell she’s an animal person!

Emily was awesome and great communicator! Thank you for taking care of the cats while was gone for few days and look forward for booking with you again in the future.
Emily sent frequent pictures of our cat and made sure she was fed and watered and loved.
