Hi, my name is Emily and I recently completed the genetic counseling graduate program at UW. I have lots of free time on my hands while I study for boards and look for a full-time job. I’d love to spend some of it with your pets! In college, I was thinking of applying to vet school, so I have extensive experience with animals. I worked as a hospital assistant at a small animal practice for two summers, as well as at an emergency & specialty clinic in France for one summer. I am comfortable with caring for sick pets as well as those that need medication administered. In addition to taking care of my own pets, I have also pet sat a variety of different types of animals, including home visits and dog walking, since middle school (15+ years ago at this point). Additionally, I have experience with puppies and helped raise two litters of Bernese Mountain dog puppies from birth to 8 weeks in high school. I love all types of dogs and can't wait to meet yours!

I am detail-oriented and love when I am given clear instructions for each pet’s care. I find that sticking to a pet’s typical schedule is best to avoid disruptions.

Emily was a great house sitter for the week. My cat has a lot of different medications that she was comfortable giving to him. She was a great communicator and left the house nice and tidy, and I came home to a super happy cat! Would love to book her again in the future!
Emily is an excellent dog-sitter. She stayed in our home and took very good care of our dog for several days. She is responsible and attentive towards animals. We look forward to having a chance to book her as a sitter in the future!
