An IN cowgirl who loves all animals

Pet care experience

I have had animals my whole life ranging from cats, goats, dogs and more. While participating in 4-H I got to experience the full extent of animal husbandry. I currently have two large dogs who have my whole heart. I am competent in administering many medications to include sub-dermal insulin shots. I am currently a full time student with a lot of free time and flexibility!

Emily H. is the best dog mom I know. Her two large dogs are cared for more than the average human child - they get tons much love, exercise, and enrichment every day. Emily cares for others' dogs even better than her own. I can't recommend Emily's services enough!

Emily has always loved animals. She is the proud mother of 2 rescued dogs who are very fortunate to have her as their owner. Emily has a depth of knowledge about breed characteristics and is very able and willing to meet dogs 'on their own terms'. She is patient and soft-spoken and would be an excellent dog sitter. I have trusted her for days at a time with my own animals and been thrilled with the TLC they received in my absence.

Pet body language is the most important thing for me to build a trusting relationship with any animal. I am cognizant of how they react to my presence and make will make appropriate changes to my behavior to insure they are comfortable with me.

Information Emily H. would like to know about your pet

Any health issues, medication needs, temperament specifics, and relationships with new dogs and people. If the dog requires specific amounts of play time to let out their energy.

A typical day

I like to walk dogs around their own neighborhoods so as to get them used to the sites and smells they will experience on a regular basis. Local parks/dog parks are wonderful locations to introduce dogs to new experiences, such as meeting other dogs and people.

I’m currently a full time student, finally using my GI Bill benefits. I have a lot of free time and flexibility all days of the week. I have dogs of my own and have had cats in the past. I love all animals and am very patient with earning their trust. My cattle dog mix is a bit reactive and has taught me a lot about earning respect and faith from animals.
