A Best Friend for your Best Friend!
In 10th grade I started helping my best friend foster and care for animals through a rescue she was running with a mentor of hers. What started out as bringing the occasional foster dog home to watch for a few days grew into taking in animals from all along the east coast and taking care of them until they were ready to find their forever homes! We've taken care of puppies, kittens, senior dogs, lizards, and even the occasional bird. After several years of going to adoption events and showing off our rehabilitated dogs, my best friend became a vet tech (and my roommate :) ) I became her trusty assistant. I've learned so much about vet medicine just from continuing our hobby of working with rescues and I'd be happy to use my knowledge to make sure your fur baby is safe and sound while you're away. I don't do too much fostering anymore as I have my own little furry bestie named Bubby, but I've done plenty of pet sitting for friends and family and friends of family and would love to meet your family and become a trusted pet sitting friend! I can take care of dogs and cats of all different sizes and ages and feel comfortable taking care of their medical needs.

I have experience pilling pets, administering oral and topical medication, and trimming nails! I'm a very active person in my daily life so I'm happy to take your pet on long walks or play for a while to get their energy out! On the flipside, my own dog happens to be quite a lazy boy and I'm super okay with an extended belly rub session on the couch. I feed my dog twice a day and we go on three shorter walks a day and one longer (45 min) walk a day in the evening. Bubby has seizures and is a special needs dog so I have experience handling dogs with disabilities and am very vigilant with his medication! I also take him to the local self wash to groom him myself and am up to date on all of his vaccinations and shots!

Emily was absolutely amazing during her time with Gus! She took amazing care of him, sent plenty of updates and even navigated getting into my crazy apartment complex during construction! Gus loved her and I would definitely book her again!
This is our third time using Emily. She is so patient and caring. Her goal seems to be to get our three kitties to be glad we are gone! Each time we’ve used Emily we’ve come home to happy cats in a clean home. She is fabulous! We highly recommend her.

Emily was amazing with the kids. I was a little concerned since this was my first business trip since pre-pandemic, but Emily sent me pictures and text showing the kids barely missed me. Schedule
I'm currently working full time from home so I have plenty of time to take care of your pet! I'm fully available weekdays and am free for pet sitting on weekends as well so I can accommodate most schedules.
