I am a teacher on summer break looking for extra cash and that dopamine-boost from snuggling a sweet pup/kitty! I am highly reliable, thorough with directions, and I will love your pet the way the need. Cuddles? Absolutely. Space/distance? You got it. Saying "uppies" to help them get on the couch? If you say so!

Safety, trust & environment
Our current dog, Henry, is elderly in body, but not in spirit. He gets a daily walk to keep his joints and energy level up to par, as well as several supplements, vitamins, and medicine to help decrease any age-related ailments and help his mind stay sharp. Henry has accomodations in our home, including a stool to help him get on the bed, and mind-stimulating games/toys.
Information Emily G. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any aggression history; I will make exceptions to pets/touches or anything that may make them uncomfortable during my care visit.
A typical day
I keep Henry active with a mix of physical play and mental stimulation. We go on walks and spend time outside exploring, but I also make sure to challenge his mind with food-motivating puzzle toys. Keeping him both physically active and mentally engaged helps my old boy stay happy, well-behaved, and tuckered out by the end of the day!

Pet care experience
I grew up with a cat and dog in my home; Salem, our cat, lived 13 years and our dog, Mattie, lived just shy of 15. They were my best friends. Now, I have a senior dog, named Henry, who we rescued three years ago. It has been the best decision of my entire pet-parent life. Henry was found in 2023 emaciated and severely injured. His age is estimated to be about 12 years. The Lowell Animal Shelter nursed him back to health, and we adopted him soon after seeing his photo. He is the sweetest, 90 lb lap dog who loves his mama, going on walks, and taking a snooze on the couch. I have owned a pet(s) almost my entire life: puppies, kittens, and our former Husky Nala, who crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago. My husband and 7 year old daughter are also animal lovers; I never see us without one.
Reviews
Emily has watched my dogs several times, and I always feel completely comfortable leaving them with her. They absolutely love her and get so excited whenever they see her! She’s reliable, caring, and clearly loves animals. I can always tell my dogs are well taken care of and happy when they’re with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets!
Emily has taken care of my senior dog, Tucker, several times. She is comfortable giving him his daily meds, ensuring he gets appropriate exercise for his ability level and helps keep him comfortable even with his mobility challenges. Tucker always returns home loved and happy after spending time with Emily!
Emily grew up in a home with pets. She has always loved and had dogs and cats. She is the best doggo Momma I have even known. She believes in loving on them and enjoys the love they reciprocate back to her. I always trusted her to keep my malti-poo Mattie when she was living and Mattie absolutely loved Emily.
