Safety, trust & environment
I take providing sitting services for animals very seriously. Pets are additional family members that deserve transparent and communicative care with the entire family. I send pictures and send updates with every service. With my 11 years of experience, I take all safety protocols I have learned with me to every pet sitting, walking, or check in I have/will ever do.
Information Emily G. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if you dog has any special medical or behavioral needs, disclose any medication or special diets, whether your dog is crate trained or not, and how your dog does with other animals on and off the leash.
A typical day
When I watch new dogs, I think it's very important to get to know that dog before jumping into stimulating activities or walking in a new place. I will learn what your dog needs by giving them space, patience, and listening to their body language. Once your dog and I are comfortable together, then we can start playing treat games, sniff games, fetch, trick training, try new treats, or try new walking places! It's important for each unique dog to be provided with their specific needs at the pace they are most comfortable with.

Pet care experience
I have eleven years of working experience in pet retail, supplies, care, and personal pet ownership. Five of those years I worked as a Store Manager and managed multiple independent pet supply businesses. These experiences have gifted me a unique, hands-on, deep dive into the world of pet supplies, pet care, and pet health. I also have personal experience with hospice pets and end of life care. I have years of experience with all types of dogs/cats, pets with specific behavioral needs, and dietary restrictions/requirements.

Reviews

Emily has pet and house sat for us a few times now. She is stellar. Communicative, is knowledgeable about all kinds of animals, administers medications, and genuinely cares. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Emily was amazing with our two pups!! ? Couldn’t say enough about how wonderful she was.

Emily was great with my pets! Frequent updates, and she handled it like a pro when my neighbor's dog decided to jump over the fence. We look forward to having her back again!

Emily is awesome. Definitely hiring her again. She was very communicative all the way through. it is clear she knows so much about different animals and is very kind and understanding with pets of different temperaments. We have one old grumpy man dog who has some rules, and upon meeting him Emily gave him space and reassurance- she knew exactly what to do and wasn't afraid of him. Everything went so well while we were gone. We feel safe with her taking care of our fur babes.
