I think it’s really helpful to know each pet’s personality, routine, and comfort needs ahead of time so I can make them feel as safe and relaxed as possible. I’d love to know things like feeding schedule, walk routine, any quirks or behaviors I should be aware of, and how they typically do with new people. It’s also really important to know about any anxiety, reactivity, or medical needs in advance so I can plan appropriately and keep them comfortable. If there are specific commands they know, favorite toys, or things they don’t like (like certain noises, being picked up, or other dogs on walks), that’s super helpful too. My goal is always to keep your fur baby’s routine as consistent as possible and make sure they feel at home and cared for while you’re away, so any detail, big or small, helps me do that well.
A typical day
I’m currently a doctoral student in psychology, so my days are a mix of focused work and flexible time which I find is perfect for giving pets lots of attention and care. I usually start my mornings with a walk and some fresh air, which makes me especially excited to include a dog in that routine! During the day, I spend a few hours working on research or writing, but I have plenty of breaks built in for walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles. I truly enjoy being active, so whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or just lounging nearby, I’m happy to match their energy. In the evenings, I like to wind down at home, which means your pet will get lots of companionship, attention, and consistency. I’m very used to caring for animals throughout the day so making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved is just part of my routine.

I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and currently care for two cats and a dog of my own. I’m very comfortable with daily routines, playtime, feeding, and giving pets lots of attention and love. I also frequently dog sit for friends when they’re out of town, so I understand how important it is to provide reliable, trustworthy care while you’re away.

Emily was a friendly and reliable dog-walker. I needed someone to let my dog out and go for a quick walk around the neighborhood in the afternoons on days I was working late, and she was a huge help. My dog is a bit reactive, and I trusted Emily to handle potential run-ins with other pets and people in the neighborhood.
