When it comes to caring for pets in another person’s home I’d like to request basic instructions in terms of what you’d like me to provide for your pet for example, how long they typically spend out on a walk or whether they require feeding at a set time. I also like to check if they have any habits I need to keep ahead of such as eating random things off the floor in parks or difficulty with recall, to ensure I can keep them as safe as possible and maintain the great condition of your home. I also really enjoy bathing dogs and am very thorough in cleaning up.

A typical day
I love running around with dogs and playing ball or frisbee! I’m up for anything your dog enjoys, from high levels of exercise to long naps on the sofa!

Pet care experience
I’ve been surrounded by a wide variety of dogs ever since I was 7 when I first took on care responsibilities of our Jack Russell puppy. I looked after her until the day she died at age 13. I take so much joy in caring for animals and making them feel happy and safe. I’ve got a lot of experience walking and looking after many different breeds ranging from highland terriers to great danes. I’ve recently moved back home to Norfolk after 10 years in London. We have 5 gorgeous, feisty dachshunds so I’ve also had plenty of experience walking and looking after multiple dogs at once. I’ve also helped to look after each of them during their very early weeks so I have a lot of experience with much puppies and younger dogs too.

We had a great experience with Emily as our dog sitter. She was reliable, kind, and really loves animals. Our dog Arthur can be a bit shy with new people, but Emily was patient and gentle, and he warmed up to her quickly. It was clear he felt comfortable and well cared for while we were gone. We have already booked with Emily again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.
