A typical day
Every dog has different things they enjoy! Some dogs want to take a slow walk, taking in every sniff; while others just have so much energy to burn! I can play with the dogs if they like to fetch or play tug of war. If they’re not the most playful but just want belly rubs and attention, I’ll gladly love on your dog(s).

I’ve never known a life without dogs; they really are a man’s best friend! We currently have three dogs, four cats, and chickens. I’ve worked as a kennel tech at the Animal Friends of Barbour County and also regularly volunteer at the Randolph County Humane Society. Being involved in the shelter environment has given experience with dogs of all ages- puppies to seniors. It’s also allowed me to work with dogs that have disabilities, such as hearing or visual impairment. I promise to care for your pet(s) as if they’re my own!

Emily sent photos each drop-in visit and adapted when I anxiety-ridden Chihuahua decided to escape the inside enclosure. Emily was so calm and gentle with our doggos.
