Lifetime Animal Lover and Caretaker
I have loved for and cared for animals my entire life. With my childhood dogs currently back with family while I attended U of M (both of which I deeply miss and face time every day just so I can see and talk to them) I am eager to have the opportunity to care for your furry friend. I have a great deal of experience and understanding caring for a variety of different breeds, from high energy working dogs to low energy lap dogs. I also have experience caring for dogs throughout all life stages, from crate and potty training puppies to comforting sun downing seniors. I am also well familiar about how our furry friends communicate. I genuinely love taking the time to get to know them and their individual quirks, even if they may take some time to warm up. I also recognize that some of our furry rescue friends come with complex trauma and trust issues. Having grown up with rescues who have taken prolonged periods to fully come out of their shells. I understand the patience, care and time it can take for them to feel safe with new people and is something I am quite comfortable navigating.

I do not take the responsibility and trust of caring for your home and furry children lightly. My goal is to treat your home and pets with the same care, love, and respect I would my own, if not more. Communication is important to me, so please do not hesitate to reach out and express any question, concerns, or desires so that I am able to meet and exceed your expectations when caring for your pets and/or home. I like to keep an open line of communication so that everyone involved feels comfortable and involved with any aspects of care.
Ratings and reviews
Emily is an outstanding pet sitter. Super competent, communicative (lots of pictures and notes), and very flexible and accommodating. She handled meds like a pro for our cats and dog and was so easy going about our house being under construction while she was house sitting. Traveling can be stressful when you're worried about if your pets are well cared for, but we didn't worry for a second with Emily taking care of things on the home front.

Wow Emily was amazing! She is responsible, thoughtful, trustworthy, and our little cat loved her. She sent photos daily which helped ease our anxiety while we were away. We will definitely be looking to book Emily for house sitting again in the future!
Emily did a fantastic job watching my cat Mia! She sent great updates and lots of pictures, as well as she was very reliable, communicative, and kind. I highly recommend her!
This was our first time using Rover! We wanted an animal lover, and we needed someone we felt we could trust like family — Emily was just that. She met our two dachshunds and our two siamese cats at our meet and greet, and we knew she was a true animal lover. For this past trip, she looked after our two siamese cats for a week and even managed to earn the approval of our very territorial female siamese (few have done — even family members). She went above and beyond giving them the attention each of them needed based on their unique personalities, and gave us updates with every visit. It was such a relief knowing Emily was looking after our kitties and we didn’t have to worry about how they were doing. We hope to book her for our next trip!
