Safety, trust & environment

When conducting drop-in visits, my goal is to respect your home and privacy, as well as any security precautions already in place, such as alarm systems or locks. By creating a routine for my visits, this helps ensure everyone's safety and helps these visits become a part of your pet's daily schedule. There's nothing that brings a bigger smile to my face than seeing a wagging tail welcome me as a friend in your home.

Information Emily F. would like to know about your pet

No breed or species, size or age preference, however I can only do single dog homes. Dogs cannot have a bite history, must have proper identification, crate trained is preferable, and be up to date on all vaccinations**. Owner must disclose any preexisting medical or behavioral concerns at time of first meeting. **Hard copy must be provided at first meeting for proof of current rabies, distemper, parvovirus and Bordetella vaccine, or can be emailed from your veterinarian's office beforehand.

A typical day

Once we have established your pet's exercise and care goals, each visit will begin with a routine welcome and potty break, followed by a 15–20 minute workout, concluded with 5-10 minutes of play utilizing whichever methods work best for your pet. For exotics, this can be achieved through enrichment, socialization, and controlled indoor exercise if needed.

Pet care experience

**Bookings beginning July** While you’re working during the day or away on a vacation, there should be a way to provide your pet big or small with the care they need. Hi, my name is Emily. Over the last decade I have worked as a veterinarian assistant, at a private reptile zoo, obtained advanced obedience titles with my dog Dezzy (Begleithund Certification, AKC Advanced Trick Dog Title), and have a personal passion for canine/feline nutrition. I earned my Zoology degree from the University of Montana Honors College, and have completed the Hill’s nutrition course. Not only do I have the skills to help with dogs young and old, including rigorous cardiovascular exercise to giving medications, but I'm also experienced in caring for birds, small animals, fish, insects, arachnids, reptiles and amphibians. This can include anything from daily feeds, cleaning enclosures, giving medications, and enrichment activities.

I had spent a few weeks searching for a doggy daycare facility in Fayetteville but was dismayed at the reviews I found online about them. So I fell back to looming here on Rover. I'm pleased that I did. The rates varied on the site for doggy daycare a bit in comparison to corporate locations. Yet there is a reason for that. All of which was Emily has embodied. I never asked her to but she sent photos and updates daily while I was in class after I dropped my puppy off with her in the mornings. She spent time with him indoors and outside, she even reinforced the skills he had learned already and worked with him on new skills. Every evening I would pick him up and head home, he would eat and promptly fall asleep. She kept him active and happy and every morning he would go inside her home tail wagging and looking around her home. I knew she would be a good fit for him when I dropped him off because Argos wasn't shy upon arrival. He didn't stay next to me as normal, he was welcomed in her home and he explored it diligently. If ever I need a sitter in a pinch I would happily contact her again and recommend you do the same.

Emily did an awesome job taking care of my dogs! She gave me constant updates and left me feeling confident that they were in good hands! They also came back really calm and worn out which was an awesome sign that they had been able to get lots of exercise and play time!

We've hired Emily multiple times and every time was a great experience. She has been essential in the adjustment of our new puppy into our home. She not only took great care of our dog, but is very knowledgable and helped with training. She is professional, prompt and provides excellent updates. We highly recommend Emily and will continue to trust her with our pup!
