I've had dogs my entire life and have worked as a pet-sitter and dog walker for the last 12 years. My friendly rescue mutt, Buck, and I would love to treat your dog like a member of our family! I have experience with many breeds (extra-small to extra-large) and also know how to work around various behaviors. I have experience with nervous, shy, dog-aggressive and high-energy dogs. I am home the majority of time for the week because I work remotely. I can work to add in extra training if asked; I used to train my own dogs in agility and have experience training for basic obedience and tricks as well. I believe in positive reinforcement training, with lots of praise. I’ll motivate your dog with what suits them best - treats, toys, — or both! I have experience giving dogs medication on a strict schedule. I am comfortable giving dogs eye drops, shots and pills. My dog Buck gets daily pills and weekly injections that I administer, so it’s something I do with ease. I am also comfortable with various breeds' coats and will make sure they look great before your return! My dog-sitting style is that safety is my #1 priority. I put away anything that could be a hazard in my apartment. I check for ticks after walks and always carry water with me. I wipe down paws after walks too! Especially in the summer heat, I am hyper-aware of heat stroke/exhaustion and never walk dogs on hot pavement or asphalt. I’m working from home on a remote basis, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pup. PLEASE NOTE: If you request daycare I do not accept drop offs before 7:30 AM or pick ups after 9:30 PM. If you request daycare for longer than 10 hours I charge hourly. I am extremely aware of safety. My apartment has been dog-proofed and your dog will be under constant supervision. I will make sure your dog always has access to water, will take them out to potty on a schedule, and make sure they are properly exercised and shown love and affection!

Emily is incredible. She took my baby in like her own and kept me up to date throughout each day with a few pictures. She was responsive and flexible when I needed a little extra time for pick up. So grateful for her and the deep care she showed for my pet.

Emily is absolutely amazing. I trust her with my whole heart to watch my baby dog, Isabella. She is attentive, reliable, and clearly cares deeply about the animals she looks after. I always feel completely at ease knowing Isabella is in such loving and capable hands.

Emily was absolutely amazing with Jackson! She kept me updated the entire weekend with photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear he was having the best time, she even took him to his favorite park and made sure he got plenty of fetch in. Her dog Buck got along so well with Jackson, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell Emily is incredibly experienced and truly understands dogs, she knew exactly what to do without needing much direction from me at all. She was professional, reliable, and so easy to communicate with. I would 100% trust her with Jackson again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great sitter!

Schedule
I will be with your dog most hours of the day since I work a remote schedule. I'll be able to provide frequent potty breaks and walks around the neighborhood. If your dog loves other dogs, I live a short walk from the Little Italy dog park!

I'm committed to ensuring your pet's safety and comfort. My dog Buck is extremely gentle and loves other dogs, but won’t bother them to play unless the other dogs want to play! He gets along with everyone except cats.

A typical day
I love playing fetch with dogs, going on walks and going to the park! I'll bring your dog for outings with friends, we will enjoy picnics together and snuggle time during movies at home.
