My name is Emily, the owner of Curly Tails Pet Care! I’m an experienced dog walker and pet sitter with a lifelong love for animals. I have two pups of my own who are my whole world, and I promise to care for your pet just as I would my own. What sets me apart? I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, including administering medications (even injections). I have taken in-person, hands-on dog training courses, from puppy etiquette to advanced training and agility. I incorporate training into my pet care to reinforce good behaviors and keep your pup mentally engaged. I’m also passionate about canine mental stimulation and often include puzzle toys along with training to keep dogs thinking and having fun. On top of that, I’m pet first aid certified and my business is insured, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in safe hands. I also take the time to personalize my care to fit your pet’s unique needs, providing regular updates and thoughtful photos so you always feel connected while you’re away. Caring for dogs isn’t just my job - it’s my passion. My lifelong goal is to open my own enrichment-based doggy daycare, where dogs can thrive mentally and physically in a fun, stimulating environment. Until then, I bring that same level of enrichment and care to every pet I work with. You can count on me to provide reliable, compassionate care and plenty of tail wags along the way!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my top priority when caring for your pet. I require all pet parents to provide emergency contact information, and sign a vet/first aid consent form. I also require an initial meet-and-greet to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable and safe. We are fully insured through Pet Care Associates. Pet first aid certified through Pet Tech & the American Red Cross. Please let me know if your dog has any special behaviors or needs, so I can tailor my care accordingly. After every walk or drop-in, I send photo updates and keep pet parents informed. Pets are always engaged with walks, playtime, and enrichment activities, and I make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for.

Emily was an amazing pet sitter for my dog Charlie while I was away for a long weekend. She was kind, reliable, and clearly loves animals. She’s watched Charlie before and he just adores her! I got regular updates with photos and videos, which gave me total peace of mind. Charlie was happy and relaxed when I got home—he clearly loved his time with her! Schedule
Caring for pets is my full time job! When you book a time, I will start our visit within a 1-hour time window. (ie if your booking is for 1:30, I’ll arrive between 1-2). This is to ensure all my clients are getting the care they need - and sometimes, this means visits running over (and traffic!). If your pet needs a specific time (ie for medication administration), just let me know.

Additionally, understanding your dog’s training needs allows me to incorporate any necessary training into our time together, whether it’s reinforcing good behaviors or working on new skills. The more I know about your pet, the better I can cater to their individual needs and provide a positive experience!
