I currently work retail full-time, so my schedule can be a little different. My days off are Wednesday and Saturday so I’m available all day. I’m available Tuesday mornings into the early afternoon. The rest of my availability would mainly be evenings.

I make sure that my cat has enough interactive toys to entertain her while my boyfriend and I are at work. We live in a small apartment so we make sure that she gets enough enrichment time so she’s not sleeping all day. My cat gets her teeth brushed in the morning with me and then she gets greenies with her breakfast to help her gum health.

A typical day
I love to take the dogs out on walks/runs to get in their exercise and also get their energy out. Dog parks are always fun to allow them to socialize!

Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs for my entire life, and currently have two at home. I started volunteering at an animal shelter in middle school for a school project but ended up continuing for three years because I loved it so much. I became a volunteer coordinator and worked closely with the employees. I volunteered at adoption events, dog walks, gave specialized care to certain dogs, and matched potential owners to the right dog. The owner sponsored two dogs for my family and I to adopt.

Emily has sat and cared for our at the time five dogs. I have complete confidence in her as a pet caregiver. She is compassionate with all animals. We now have added three cats to our family and Emily is great with them also.
Emily would make an excellent pet caregiver. She has always had dogs and cats in her home and has always taken excellent care of them. She has pet sat for many people in our area and they always call her back because their pets just love her. Emily also volunteered weekly, for two and a half years, add a 100% no-kill animal shelter. She did such an excellent job that they made her a junior volunteer coordinator. What that entailed is that she helped the younger volunteers learn how to take care of the animals, that included brushing, bathing, playing the proper way, and matching the dogs with the perfect dog walker.
