Information Emily C. would like to know about your pet

All pets are different; learning their likes, dislikes, favorite toys and regular schedule before our first visit helps me to provide the best care possible. Any meds, medical conditions or allergies are also important for me to know!

A typical day

I believe each visit should be tailored to fit each individual pet. I can provide walks, play, practice basic obedience, brushing, ear cleaning and treats! Walks are available around your neighborhood, and for more adventurous dogs I frequent Greenbelt Lake, Hartman Reserve, George Wyth State Park & Big woods Lake!

Your Pet’s New Best Friend!

Pet care experience

I have worked with and loved many animals throughout my life; gaining experience by working with rescues, shelters and non-profit organizations benefiting dogs, cats and horses in Iowa and Virginia. I have also worked in the pet care industry my whole life. I was a Pet Groomer for 10 years, have worked closely with trainers, supervised daycare & boarding, and have spent the last 3 years in Veterinary Medicine as a Veterinary Assistant. I currently share my home with 3 dogs and a cat. I often care for my parents' dogs; one of which is Diabetic & has recently gone blind. Helping her learn to enjoy walks again has been a great experience! I have experience in most aspects of pet care; dog sitting, boarding, basic First Aid, administering oral & injectable medications, grooming and training, and know that each pet needs a unique, gentle approach. First and foremost I believe in making your pet comfortable by sticking to their (and your) schedule as much as possible. By keeping feeding, walking & potty times the same, I can provide and calm and happy presence for your pet through a positive attitude and relaxed demeanor. I also enjoy providing enrichment for you pet through play, walks, games and treats.

Emily was fantastic! She is kind, caring and very knowledgeable! She communicated often. Walks, overnight, medication and all the loves. Our girls were so relaxed with Emily. Can't wait to have her back

Emily was great to work with and communicated really well through the whole process. We’d never used Rover before and she made the process a breeze and made our pup (and us!) comfortable as we were out of town😊 definitely will use her services again!! Thank you Emily!

Emily is the best! She was so sweet with the puppies, took pictures and videos, and even brought in our Amazon packages! I couldn’t have asked for more and the dogs can’t wait to see her again!
