I've been caring for cats for most of my life, both personally and professionally. I grew up with cats and later worked in the cat room at a local humane society, where I fed the cats, cleaned their cages and litter boxes, and spent time socializing and playing with them. That's also where I met Penny, the first cat I adopted on my own after falling in love with her while caring for her at the shelter. I especially enjoy taking care of older or quiet cats who might need time to decide if they like a new person. My current cat, Millie, is a shy senior, so I am used to letting a cat set the pace. I pay close attention to cat body language and I try to recognize what a cat is comfortable with. I'm happy to handle the everyday essentials that keep your cats cared for while you’re away: feeding, fresh water, litter-box cleaning, play and companionship, and following their normal routine and your written instructions. I don't believe in forcing affection or interaction, so if your cat prefers to observe me suspiciously from underneath the bed, that’s okay too 😸💕
