I am currently a student-athlete at Georgetown University!! I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. This summer, I fostered a dog and regularly attended dog events, which gave me even more hands-on experience with a variety of dogs and their personalities. I am also used to walking around the Georgetown neighborhoods and campus! I also frequently watch my neighbors’ and friends’ dogs and cats. I grew up around cats and have always spent time caring for my grandparents’ and cousins’ dogs. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, keeping pets company, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m very responsible and attentive, and I'll treat your pet like my own! I am very big on communication, so I will make sure you are always kept updated on how your pet is doing!

I let Emily Collins dog sit for me while I was out of town for 2 weeks and I will say she was truly amazing and very professional about it. To preface my dog is super active and a needy breed (a viszula mix) and can be a handful at times. Emily was not only able to control Candy (the dogs name) but she had a great time with her. She was able to take her on walks even when she would pull which a lot of people can not do and would send me pics of her on the walk exploring parts of the city having a great time. She would also send me pics of her playing with candy and entertaining candy to the point she was so tired she fell asleep on top of her. Those 2 weeks I did not feel the usual stress of leaving my dog with someone to watch . I would highly recommend anyone who is in need of a dog walker/sitter to Emily she is very professional and a great person to work with.
Emily is incredibly responsible, attentive, and genuinely loves animals. She spent this past summer fostering a dog giving it dedicated daily care, training, affection and helped successfully match it with a great permanent home. That level of patience, commitment, and heart is exactly why any pet parent can completely trust her with their own fur babies.

Schedule
My weekdays are pretty busy with classes and softball commitments at Georgetown, so I’m typically away from about 8 AM–6 PM. However, I’m available every evening to stop by for feeding, walks, playtime, and other care your pet may need. I’m also happy to stay overnight, so if you’re looking for someone to keep your pet company and care for them in the evenings and overnight, I’d be a great fit! My weekends tend to be more flexible as well, and I am more available to be with your pet throughout the day! I’ll always communicate clearly about my schedule so we can make sure your pet gets the care and attention they need.
