A typical day
I love to provide enrichment, such as decompression walks, foraging games, and any other types of play your pet loves. For dogs with high exercise needs, I love having a running buddy.

My own dogs are an island of misfit toys and as a result I am experienced with dogs with special needs, including physical disabilities (IVDD, paralysis, incontinence), reactivity, and trauma. I am able to help support your work on basic behavior skills, leash walking, and potty training. I am also comfortable with giving medication. I am an extremely experienced foster across species, ages, and personalities. Caring for animals is my lifelong passion. I spent three years abroad and in that time I helped found and operate an animal rescue organization which has given me such a wealth of knowledge and experience. I believe in least-intrusive, minimally-aversive practices. I always want your pet to feel safe and comfortable. I am continually educating myself on the science of animal behavior and how to foster amazing human-pet relationships.

Emily took excellent care of our elderly cat including twice daily medications. She is communicative and went above and beyond when we needed help with a couple of things while gone. Most importantly, Kiki is the happiest and healthiest she’s been after a trip.

Emily was wonderful while I was away on vacation. She’s super personable, friendly, followed through on the arranged walking times and she was able to make our need work on short notice…but, most of all, my lil’ Leo was well taken care of. I’ll definitely will be calling on her again in the future.
My dogs love Emily, and she did a great job. She was gracious about cleaning up a potty accident....
