There's nothing worse than having to leave your pet with someone you don't fully trust to care for them the way you will. Growing up with dogs, cats, rodents, fish, turtles, etc. instilled a strong sense of responsibility in me for detail-oriented and fiercely loving care for all types of pets. Among my friends, colleagues, and relatives, I have become the go-to person for drop-in walks, petsitting/house sitting, and more. Traveling or needing an extra hand taking care of your pet should not have to be a source of stress - I hope to be able to bridge that gap for you. Spending time with your sweet pet is just an added bonus! I have experience caring for dogs and cats under a year old all the way to senior pets who may require more attention (like medication administration). I have experience walking more than one dog at a time, as well as walking larger dogs up to 100lbs independently. I love playing with animals and see stimulating play as a vital part of caring for them while their owner is away.

My shared living environment limits me from boarding animals in my home. However, I am happy to care for your pets in the space they're most comfortable in and familiar with! I can come and go from your home for drop-in walks, longer walk outings, and overnight stays if necessary. I will respect you and your pet's space and belongings. Cleanliness, organization, and safety are of the utmost importance to me.

Emily has been our families go to sitter for our dogs Penny & Laila and our cat Luna for several years. She has stayed at our home for extended weekends, giving our girls the best care in the world while we are out of town. Our sweet Laila, is an elderly english springer spaniel who requires medication for her anxiety & hip problems and lots of extra attention and cuddling. Emily always does a wonderful job at administering her medication and taking Laila for slower walks around the block. Our dog Penny, on the other hand, is a highly energetic pitbull puppy and needs lots of outdoor time to tucker her out. Emily sent us photos of the two of them on long walks & even a hike with Penny. Emily is very communicative and it makes it so much easier for us to leave, knowing our girls will be in safe and loving hands. I also swear she has a magic touch, helping us to train Penny to walk on the leash with more ease and less tugging. Our cat Luna tends to keep to herself and is usually shy around strangers, but seems to have no problem curling up on Emily's lap. I highly recommend Emily for any and all pet sitting needs, I personally wouldn't trust anyone else and our pets equally adore her.

Schedule
I work full-time for the University of Vermont - while I do work primarily in person, I have hybrid flexibility when I am not meeting with clients and am able to step away from work when I want and need to. My late afternoons, evenings, and weekends are typically free and flexible outside of rest and relaxation! I am located very central to the University of Vermont campus, the South End, and the Old North End. I can travel by foot, car, and bike.
