I’ve used this sitter in the past and previously had positive experiences, so this review is based specifically on my most recent booking. Unfortunately, the level of care during this stay was not what I expected or what my dogs needed. There were multiple extended periods where my dogs were left crated, with some breaks being only around 5–10 minutes before they were put back in their crates. I completely understand that a sitter may need to leave the house for work, dinner, or other obligations. My concern was the overall amount of time my dogs spent out of their crates throughout the stay. After reviewing my cameras (which are in plain sight and the sitter is aware of) I reached out because I was concerned about the amount of time they were being left. The sitter was apologetic and took responsibility, acknowledging that the amount of time my dogs spent out of their crates was not sufficient and that the care provided was not up to her usual standard. Unfortunately, the communication about her schedule was also a major concern. Had I known beforehand that she would have such limited availability during the stay, I would have made other arrangements, even assisting with family coming over to let the dogs out if needed to accommodate her schedule. Instead, I had to make a last-minute decision to cancel her upcoming booking to watch my dogs over Labor Day weekend. Because this was a holiday weekend, finding another sitter at the last minute has been extremely difficult, and I currently do not have a sitter for that trip. I don’t believe the lack of care was malicious, but I do feel that there should have been more upfront communication about her availability and schedule before accepting the booking. My dogs deserve consistent care and adequate time out of their crates, and unfortunately because of the lack of communication, I wasn’t even given a chance to ensure my dogs were properly enriched.

Emily responded quickly in a last-minute booking and did a great job handling our very anxious dog.

Emily is always an excellent sitter for us! This trip, our flights home were delayed and she was willing to stay a few extra nights to accommodate. We are so grateful to her and always feel confident that our pups will be well taken care of when we travel.

Emily did a wonderful job with all of our babies! She was very communicative and sent updates just the right amount. We definitely have clingy and routine based dogs, she was able to keep them as close to their normal day to day as possible.
