I have been pet sitting for 12 years. I have taken care of dogs, cats, horses, rodents, reptiles, various farm animals. I have experience working at a doggy daycare/boarding facility for 3 years and being a Vet Assistant for 7 years. Extensive experience in medication handling including injectables. I am very knowledgeable in animal health and behavior. I love all species, breeds and sizes! I know dogs usually have a routine that they love to follow, I wouldn’t want to mess that up! Let me know your pups routine so I can follow along giving your pup a stress free time! I can provide enrichment activities such as stuffed Kongs, puzzle toys, walks/runs, fetch, hide the treat/toy and more! While we don't currently have a fenced in yard, dogs have a lead attached to the deck or walked to potty. If you have any questions - please don’t hesitate to ask!

Emily took great care of Cody. I was worried about leaving Cody because he has medical issues and needs his medicine morning and night. Emily did great. Cody was happy and healthy when we picked him up. I look forward to having Emily take care of Cody again. She also sent some nice photos!
Emily took great care of Mario while we were out of town. She was super comfortable with our very excited dog from the first time they met, and communicated with pictures and texts during his stay. Mario had a great time with them and his new friend, Skeeter! We absolutely won't hesitate to send Mario to Emily for future visits!

Schedule
While I do work 4 days a week, my partner and I work some days at home and are generally gone from 9-4 when we are gone for work.

Safety, trust & environment
I offer a fun, exciting and comforting stay for your pet. My extensive experience with animals allows me to recognize body language in which I can act accordingly. When walking, I make sure we stay on safe paths, watch my surroundings and double-check to make sure collars/leashes/harnesses are on correctly. I make sure gates are latched, doors are closed and your pet is where they need to be.
Pets
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood or on some trails, playing fetch, going on runs, tug, belly rubs and of course, snuggles! A favorite game in our house for food-motivated dogs is hide and seek! Come find where I am hiding and get a treat!
