Pet sitting is my main focus right now, so I am available whenever you need! I prefer a day notice to arrange my schedule, but I do try to accommodate same day requests as much as I am able, so please reach out if you need!

I do require a quick pre-visit meet & greet for new clients, which can be virtual or in person. Of course, no cost to you for this visit! I do this to ensure that I get all the details for you pet so I can best take care of them! For drop-in visits, let's go over your pet's routine and likes/dislikes. I will cater the visit towards what they need and want! I will spend the entire visit length with your pet of course and be sure to properly lock up and turn on/off lights as you request. I can also do other small household tasks, like watering plants or taking the trash out, at no extra cost. I do also board cats occasionally. Your kitty would stay in our guest room with a cat tree and nice window to bird watch, as my pup tends to get overly excited around new cats. I will of course spend plenty of one on one time with them! I can provide litter at break even cost, if needed. My husband, Mark, will assist with care of your pet if they stay in our home, but he will never enter your house without your explicit permission. (He is great with all types of animals!)

Pet care experience
Alright, buckle in, this is long... but I would want to know all of this before I trust my pets with anyone else, so here it goes! I got my first pet, a hedgehog named Neville, in 2017, and adopted my dog and cat the following year. My husband and I began fostering as well around 2019 and have since fostered 60+ dogs/cats as young as 4-6 weeks old up to some sweet senior guys and gals. I began volunteering at a local animal shelter years ago as well with the dogs, and went on to work there as an Animal Care Specialist, and then a Manager. With all this experience, I've gotten to learn a ton about animal care in general, as well as special medical and behavioral needs and really enjoy being able to help those animals. Safety and communication are my #1 priorities! I will send detailed updates with photos every single time so you are never wondering how the visit went. And safety is soooo important. I am always alert on walks, only having my phone out to snap a few photos for you and keep an eye on everything going on around us. I use fear-free, reward based training/handling techniques with all pups and kitties. I've taken classes on cat/dog body language, basic reward based training principles, and some common behavioral challenges, such as reactivity, pulling on leash, shy/nervous, etc. I am always "checking in" with your pet to make sure they feel comfortable and will go at whatever pace they need! I also know that an enriched pet is a happy pet! I focus on 3 forms of enrichment - mental (think puzzle toys, kongs, or fun training!), physical (walks, fetch, tug-o-war!), and social (interacting with humans, other dogs when appropriate, etc.). Let me know what your pet would enjoy! I've also cared for many animals with medical needs, including skin/eye/respiratory infections, diabetes/insulin injections, oral medications, dogs undergoing heartworm treatment, cats with litter box issues, etc. I'm very happy to learn whatever care you pet needs! (Additionally, I have some experience with exotic pets, including hedgehogs, rats, bunnies, and fish. I'd love to learn more about your exotic pet!)

Emily was an absolute delight to work with! She’s incredibly professional, communicative, and incredibly caring with our two cats. When we had a house leakage incident while we were away, she went above and beyond to help us clean up everything and reassured us that she was there to assist us further if needed. Would absolutely work with her again!

Emily was amazing! She sent lots of photos and videos 🙂 Would definitely book her again!

Emily was amazing with our cat! I highly recommend her 💖

Emily was my first person ever to board my cat, Lola, and she made it the best and easiest experience ever!! She is so kind and accommodating. She had a room prepared with things (cat tower, toys, etc) to make her more comfortable. I was relieved to know she was in good hands!!
