Pet care experience
Loving home for your furry friend🐾
Me and my partner are new to Rover, but not new to caring for animals. We’ve both grown up in homes full of pets and have years of hands‑on experience with training, walking and looking after our family dogs. Our homely flat is a calm, safe space, and we’re confident giving pets the same love, structure and attention they’re used to at home.

Ratings and reviews
Emily and Jack would be great dog sitters because they’re two of the most trustworthy and genuinely kind people I know. They’ve had dogs themselves, so they’re well‑experienced and understand exactly what dogs need to feel happy and cared for. I would feel completely confident leaving my dog with them. On top of that, they’re reliable and friendly, which will make your experience stress‑free. Any dog would be lucky to stay with them 😊
Emily is a vivacious, caring and environmentally conscious young lady. She has a very positive approach to life and a wonderful work ethic. She did exceptionally well at university and now has a very responsible job with the NHS. Emily has looked after her own family dogs since she was a toddler including more recently being sole dog parent while her own parents have been away on extended breaks and her brother away at university. Since recently moving into her own spacious duplex apartment which she shares with her long standing partner Jack, they have talked about having their own dog. However, they have accepted that with their current full time work and social commitments it would not be responsible to have one yet. Becoming part-time dog sitters/walkers would be an excellent compromise for these two animal lovers. In my view you would be hard pressed to find a more reliable and trustworthy couple than Emily and Jack.
It's obvious that Emily (and Jack) absolutely love dogs and have regularly cared for our Spaniels over the years. Walter (our now 11 year old cocker) loves his stays at their house. They have lovely short local walks but also take him on longer hikes on and off lead in Beeley woods and on Loxley common. He comes home relaxed and the updates provided are really reassuring that our fur baby is in good hands 🤗

Schedule
Our routine is flexible enough that we can build pet care into every day. My partner works from home a couple of days a week and so do I, so one of us would be around in the day. We are usually home in the evenings, which makes walks, feeding and play straightforward. On the weekends we like to do walks and have some downtime too, so fitting their needs around our schedule will feel very natural.

Safety, trust & environment
In our home, pets get a calm and safe environment. We keep doors secured, remove anything that could be hazardous, and make sure pets have a comfortable space to relax. Walks, feeding and play are supervised, and we will stick to the routines that owners share with us - so that your furry friend feels settled and secure. We treat every pet as if they were our own and keep communication open throughout their stay, so that you can be reassured that they are being loved and cared for.
