Second time having Emily stay and take care of our beloved dog Jasper. He absolutely loves that he gets to stay home when we are gone and his friend comes to stay. Thanks again!

BEWARE…DO NOT HIRE THIS SITTER if you want your pets taken care of and want them to be safe in their own home. Also, she lies about EVERYTHING! She arrived around Friday around 3:15pm after I reached out to find out what time she would be arriving, since her scheduled time was 12 noon or no later than 2pm. She told me she had to finish something for work, but told me she gets off at noon on Friday, during meet & greet. She was gone most of the day Saturday even though she assured me she would be in my home with my dogs pretty much the entire time during the meet & greet. On Saturday morning, she lied about being at my home and that she couldn’t walk the dogs because it was pouring rain on Saturday morning. She actually left my home at 7:04am and when questioned about it, she stated she had things to take care of was gone for 4 hours. She returned for 1 hour, and then had to go Walmart which was another 4 hours she was gone. My dog was injured with a bad animal bite would, that she texted me about at 12:04am Saturday night / Sunday morning, stating my dog had a scratch but didn’t know how he got the scratch. It was evident in the 2 photos that the injury was some type of animal bite. I texted and called starting at 6:30am Sunday morning to find out what happened and could not reach sitter. She responded at 9am when she finally woke up. Her response was that she didn’t know what happened to him. She left my home at 9:06am after throwing their food in a bowl on the kitchen floor, even though they eat in their own room in their elevated food bowls. She slept in till 9am even though my dog’s feeding schedule is by no later than 7am. Unsure of what home they were fed at night since she provided no updates, and when I asked if my dogs were eating, she stated the dogs were eating fine. She did not take my dogs for any walks nor did she spend any time playing with them. This sitter needs to be banned from Rover and pet sitting entirely, as she clearly isn’t capable of taking care of an animal. After paying for pet sitting services,on top of all of the stress while I was out of town because of sitter’s incompetency and not taking care of my dogs, I now have to incur costs to take my dog to the vet for the wound care. At this point, my options are to file a police report against sitter and take legal action to be reimbursed for my out of pocket vet costs and time missed from work for vet appointments.

Emily was friendly and my dogs liked her. She was punctual and assured me that my dogs were safe under her care. My dogs are elderly and she was patient with them. I would hire Emily again abs recommend her to others.
