Hey there! My name is Emily, and I'm your trusty neighborhood cat and dog lady ☺️. I truly love your animals like my own. They are all so special and unique. I love them for who they are, whether they are shy, sassy, nervous, or high energy! Everyday, I tell my husband about all my kitty and doggy friends, and he actually remembers who they are because I talk about them so much 😄. I specialize in cats and dogs, but I love and have cared for all types of animals, so don't be afraid to reach out if you have any other type of animal! Bonus: I'm a plant lady too, so let me know if you need those plants watered while you are away. Extra Bonus: I have experience administering medications, subcutaneous fluids, and insulin. A Little About Me(warning, this gets deep): I have been caring for animals my entire life, pet sitting for friends since I was about 10 years old, and began pet sitting professionally on Rover about five years ago. I started part time, and went full time after about a year on Rover. I felt like I was living the dream being able to spend my days hanging out with your precious animals! Then 2020(covid) happened, and I went VERY part time, I also found out I was pregnant in 2020. My husband and I were elated. As business started picking back up, I experienced a life-altering tragedy in my life, my baby daughter, Lily, was stillborn. I tried to continue working, but I was in so much pain, I couldn't continue. I had to stop working entirely. However, a few months later my little dog Spud was diagnosed with cancer, so out of necessity, I started working again to pay for his medical bills. He responded well to chemo and things were looking up for him, but then he sadly passed away unexpectedly from heart trouble. I was so devastated, but in a way I believe he gave me a gift...I was enjoying my work again little by little...and within a month of him passing, I found out I was pregant again. In October of 2022 my daughter Zuzu was born(Zuzu means Lily). I have been working part time since she was born.
