I’ve been working full-time on Rover since November 2023, focusing on building strong skills in animal behavior and training to better support each pet’s individual needs. I specialize in caring for pets who may be anxious, sensitive, or require a more thoughtful and structured approach. I have over 3 years of experience volunteering with Zoe’s Rescue in Edmonton, where I support puppy socialization and have helped care for over 10 litters—from their first interactions through to transitioning into foster homes. This experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding behavior, body language, and how to create a safe, positive environment for both puppies and adult dogs. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and preferences so they feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between, I adapt my approach to meet them where they are. Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I have experience training dogs and cats with positive affirmation, rewards and consistency. I prefer taking dogs where they are familiar with for long walks and lots of play time. When I care for a pet, they get my entire focus and attention whether it be all day or just a few hours. Any free time will be spent petting them, calling them cute names, and playing with them until they get tired of me. I also try to get the best pictures possible

Emily did an excellent job taking care of our fur babies while we were away in February. We didn’t worry at all knowing Emily was there for them. She has great communication and was very responsive. We loved all the pictures she sent to us as well. We would definitely love Emily to watch our girls again!!! They were VERY well taken care of.
Emily is great with my senior dogs. I never need worry about them knowing they are in great care. Trust doesn’t come easy for me so finding someone like Emily to care for my dogs is a gift. She always always provides updates and photos and cares about my home too. Highly recommend Emily’s services.

Schedule
I have a part time job with 3 shifts a week with flexibility during the day. I also have a handful of weekly dog walking appointments that are also flexible based on my schedule. My main priority is caring for pets on Rover. I'm able to do early morning walks or check ins, mid-day or evening time. I am unable to host but I am able to house-sit
