Hi, it’s nice to meet you! I’m Emily. I'm an organized, detail-oriented PhD student currently based in Washington DC, and I bring patient energy and a positive, reward-based behavioral approach to caring for pets of all ages and species. Every animal I've met has had different needs and a unique personality, so I love figuring out how to make each new friend feel safe and happy in their own way. I don’t do dog parks, but love to run on-leash and play high-energy backyard games to burn off steam. My two adorable cats are mischief tornadoes, so I also have a LOT of fun indoor games up my sleeve, ready for when those ears start to twitch. Some days you just need to play an hour of hide-and-go-treat or catch-the-mousie! So says Juniper, anyway. I’m most frequently available for midday walks, feeding, and playtimes, but am happy to discuss longer sessions or overnight care as well. I do not bring pets into my own home, and am super attentive to the safety and respectful care of all homes I work in, and of your pets when we’re outside together. You can expect to hear from me about any observations or concerns I have, however minor they might seem.

Emily is phenomenal!! She walked our pup for the past year and was always punctual and took such good care of our dog. From booking to photos along the walk she was prompt with communication and gave us plenty of notice if any scheduling changes came up. Emily provided such detailed accounts of meeting with our cats, they were so well cared for! We were gone for a full week, and the cats were still in good spirits when we got back. So grateful!
Emily is a great dog walker for us! We were able to meet her before our booking and she took plenty of time getting to know our pup and asked a lot of great questions. We always get updates about when she starts and finishes the walks and we love the photos that we get.
