When caring for your pet in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I'll follow your instructions carefully, whether that means feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, walks, playtime, or plenty of belly rubs. I understand that every pet has their own personality and preferences. I'll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'll also treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I'll keep things clean and tidy, lock doors and make sure your pet is safe before I leave.

I also prefer to schedule a meet-and-greet before confirming a booking whenever possible. A typical day
Every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their usual routine as closely as possible. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, or simply relaxing in a quiet spot, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I'll provide regular potty breaks, fresh water, meals according to your instructions, and lots of love and companionship. If your pet enjoys exercise or enrichment, we'll spend time playing, walking, or engaging in activities they love. If they prefer a slower pace, I'm happy to accommodate that too. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away.

Pet care experience
I've been an animal lover my entire life and have experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I've owned dogs of all breeds and sizes over the years, and currently share my home with my five-year-old Boxer, Olly. Olly has multiple allergies and follows a strict homemade diet, so I understand the importance of sticking to special diets, medication schedules, and individualized care. I know every pet has unique needs, and I'm happy to provide the extra patience and attention they deserve. Rain, snow, or sunshine, walks and playtime are always part of our routine! I've also discovered that I'm quite the cat lover. We adopted our cat, Dodger, a little over a year ago, and he has completely stolen our hearts. Whether your cat loves to play or prefers a quiet companion, I'm happy to give them the care and affection they need while you're away. In addition to dogs and cats, I'm comfortable caring for reptiles and small mammals too—just please, no tarantulas! I treat every pet as if they were my own because I know they're family.

I can’t think of many people I’d trust more with an animal than Emily. She doesn’t just own pets—she genuinely takes care of them, and there’s a difference. Her dog eats better than most grown adults I know: grilled turkey, rice, apples, bananas, broccoli—the whole damn menu—because Emily pays attention to what she needs and makes sure she gets it. Her cat is spoiled absolutely rotten with love, as every respectable cat probably believes it deserves to be. She is patient, attentive, dependable, and the kind of person who notices the little things with animals because she actually cares about them. And if you need one final character reference, she managed to take care of this old ape for a long time too, which ought to qualify her for just about anything. I would trust Emily with my animals without hesitation.
Emily has helped take care of my GSD/Great Pyr mix for the last 5 years when I have long work days. She is reliable, gentle and kind with my pup. He and my cat, who doesn’t need the extra care but does appreciate the pets and attention when she stops by, love her and I am stress free knowing my pets are in good hands when I can’t make it home to take care of them myself.
Emily's love for all animals is present in her life. She's supported fund raisers for animals in need as well as raising her own fur babies. She's passed this love on to her child and her family. After winning a goldfish at the fair, her nieces took their fish to her since as a child she had one who lived 5 years. When my husband was in the hospital for 10 days, I never once had to worry about our fur baby since I trusted her care to Emily who kept me informed with daily texts and pictures.
