My work hours are irregular but mean I can work with you to create the ideal routine for you and your kitties. Most days I can visit anytime, but occasionally I will need to visit earlier morning and/or later evening. I often visit multiple furry friends a day! Just send me a message and we can discuss what's best for you!

I treat all pets and homes with the same care, respect and caution as I do my own. In the event of an emergency I have cleaned up accidents (various kinds!) and taken kitties to the vet (when appropriate). Rest assured, your kitty is a safe as can be with me. I am also happy to tidy post, water house plants and take care of small mammals when needed. Just let me know your situation when booking.

When you enquire about a booking with me I will arrange for a free meet-and-greet prior to the date of booking commencement so that I can get to know you, your kitty and your home, and we can decide if I am the right for you both. I will ask you about their eating, playing, pooping, and (if applicable) outdoor exploration habits and devise a routine that you approve of. If we decide to go ahead with the booking, we can arrange exchange of keys/access either then or at a later date.
A typical day
My cat care service includes: - Feeding, fresh water and cleaning of bowls/utensils. - Scooping and changing litter trays. - Play time with their own toys or pet friendly string. - Cuddles and attention, as much or as little as your kitty is comfortable with! - Ensuring cats stay inside or are let outside, depending on preference. - Administering medication if needed. - Photos and videos of your kitty enjoying their visit for your reassurance. - I am happy to tidy post, draw curtains, take care of house plants, and discuss any additional care of small mammals and fish.

Cat care experience
I am freelance musician, experienced cat carer and have owned and cared for cats all my life! My flexible hours and full driving license mean I am able to tend to the needs of cats all over the Chesterfield area in Derbyshire. Friends have often told me their cats that would otherwise be adverse to greeting a less familiar human are quite comfortable around me. I think this is because I understand cats have their individual personalities. Some like lots of cuddles and attention, others prefer independence and their own space, then there are many that fall in between. I am patient with the kitties I care for, never demand any kind of affection from them and let them get used to me (or not) at their own pace. My job can be rather solitary so it's always very special to get to meet other cat lovers and be trusted to care for their feline companion(s). Emily has looked after Kato & Sadie before. She is very reliable and is a real cat person. As well as feeding them they are both on daily medication which Emily handles. Would thoroughly recommend.

Emily is absolutely brilliant. She came over to the house on advance to meet us and our cat and during our trip kept us updated with regular messages, photos and videos which really helps to reassure you that everything is OK with your cat.
