Information Emily A. would like to know about your pet

Is the dog people friendly? Is the dog dog friendly? Has there ever been a violent incident with your dog and another dog or human? How vocal is your dog? Is your dog trained to go to the bathroom outside? Does your dog resource guard? Has there ever been an incident of food or toy aggression? Does your dog guard resources? How is their leash walking skills and their behaviour outside of the home? How long can the dog be left at home? Is the dog destructive of objects or property (ie chewing)? Is the dog crated in your home? Does the dog have separation anxiety or does it bark when left alone? What is your dogs energy level?

A typical day

Dogs need both mental and physical stimulation- all of which would be individually determined based on their owners requests and the dogs needs. We would do our best to mirror the dogs schedule at home while they’re with us in our home and ensure the dog is treated like our own. We want your dog to feel like they’re staying at their “home away from home” and provide ultimate peace of mind for you while they’re in our care. We also offer some minor training such as simple obedience etc. through positive reinforcement but only if it’s requested.

Dog Loving Couple

Pet care experience

We are a very active couple in our 30’s with lots of love to give your dogs while you’re away. Both of us have extensive experience caring for our own dogs who have since passed, and dog sitting for various friends and family. We are equipped to meet the physical and mental stimulation requirements of any energy level but specialize in meeting the needs of high energy dogs. We’ve had experience looking after all sizes - ranging from a hyperactive 10lbs Jack Russel to a lazy 100lbs mastiff. We love dogs and spending time in the outdoors but aren’t quite ready to get our own puppy with upcoming travel this summer, so boarding dogs in our home is the next best thing. Trevor works shift work and is often home throughout the day during the week and Emily works a mix of in-office and home making for a flexible schedule. We are selective about the dogs we board with us and have a robust set of questions for owners prior to agreeing to the sit, including a home visit. It’s imperative to us that we know as much as we can about your dog to ensure we are the right boarders for them. We do not take dogs from multiple households at one time but will take up to 3 dogs from one household, depending on their size.
