Pet care experience
Compassionate Pet Care Provider
I grew up with dogs, cats, and hamsters. I came from a family that valued our pets. Combined with my naturally compassionate personality, I have now had two dogs as an adult who I have loved as family. When they were puppies we prioritized doggie day care for our long work days and to socialize/get their energy out. Later in life, one had 3 major surgeries in her life due to bad knee joints and cancer. Each required compassion, careful rehabilitation, and detailed observation. I currently still have her "doggy sister", an 14 year old mix breed. I value dogs as part of the family unit and respect their boundaries/needs. When watching others' dogs, I provide separate spaces for eating to ensure each dog feels comfortable.
Qualifications
Ratings and reviews
Emily took care of our two guinea pigs last summer while my family was away for a week and a half. She and her two kids provided the best care for our guinea girls! Before leaving for our trip, I asked if they could stop by just once a day to make sure the piggies had food and water. Emily and the kids made sure to stop by at least once a day (some days it was twice) and they stayed awhile each time to give the girls lots of attention. One day they put the piggies on FaceTime so my daughter (the piggies’ mommy) could interact with them from our location across the country. We are going on a trip this summer and I will definitely be asking Emily if she is available to care for the girls again.
Emily is a wonderful caregiver for dogs! She has a dog of her own with whom I have witnessed very loving and nurturing interactions on several occasions. Emily recently provided care for a friend’s puppy when the owner was out of town for several days. She engaged in playtime with him, took him on walks, and provided a safe and comfortable environment for him. Emily is a lover of all animals, big and small. I know she will provide the highest level of care for any dog she is hired to care for.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a significantly sized fenced yard. I have dog crate(s) as needed for rest times and separated eating. For socialization, I have one 50-pound female mix breed 14-year-old; the arrangement would need to work for both dogs. She enjoys a dog buddy to explore the yard with or who can also relax with her. She used to be a fast runner, but those days are long gone. Important that your dog follows social cues from Chloe, as her old age prevents her from playing anymore (if if her heart would love to!)
Pets
A typical day
We live in neighborhood so can easily take walks (typically a short car ride to the back of the neighborhood with less car traffic); large fenced yard allows for a nice romp/play with my dog; dog friendly couch for snuggling; and I will keep a few of your dogs favorite toys in a safe space for them to use each time they are here.
