I work Monday to Friday with a mix of in office and remote days. This allows me to offer reliable morning and evening care on week days, drop ins on select days, and flexible availability on weekends. When house sitting, I stay overnight and provide consistent care before and after work, with the added bonus of daytime availability on remote workdays. In more detail - pet care fits naturally in my routine. I enjoy being outside and exploring which makes daily walks something I genuinely look forward to - especially with a buddy! Im also happy to stay in and cook or craft, giving space for providing calm and attentive companionship to the more low key, relaxed fluffs. Weekends are free game for whatever your pet is up for!

As a previous homeowner and longtime pet owner, I understand how important it is to trust somebody to take proper care of your home and to know your pet is being properly cared for. I assure you I will treat your home with care, respect privacy, and will have a small footprint. I will keep things clean and leave it as I found it. I follow all care instructions closely (feeding schedules, medication, routine, and household guidelines. I'm mindful of home quirks like doors, gates, locks, lights and always do a safety check before coming and going. I value the importance of keeping pets in their home turf, their comfortable environment to reduce stress, maintain routines and help them feel safe and cared for while you're away. Communication is important to me, Im very happy to provide regular updates and photos and will always reach out immediately if anything seems out of the ordinary. I'm happy to follow your preferences on frequency of update. My goal is for you to feel confident that your pet and home is in safe, reliable hands.

- Please advise if there are any health conditions I should be aware of - When there are any medication to be administered, please give clear instructions on how to give them (and what to expect with the dog's behavior, if any) - Any behaviors to note (aggression, dog's preferences, hard no, big yes etc...) - Feeding details and schedule, I'd like to keep it as close (or same) as their routine when you're home - Let me know if you prefer we stay around the house, or if car rides are ok (any car sickness or nervousness). I want your dog happy and comfortable and I'll avoid anything they don't enjoy! - I'll happily take any instructions you want to share
A typical day
I love doing everything with the dogs I care for. Wherever you and your dogs' comforts lie, I love to dig in and have fun with them within those bounds. I'm definitely accustomed to active dogs, however I will meet each one where they're at and find a way to enjoy our time. From enjoying the yard, to roaming the neighborhood on a walk, hiking a trail, wandering to a new area and exploring, walking/skating/skiing on the frozen lake, camping, swimming, paddle boarding - all of it is more fun with a dog friend. To a more low key indoor dog, I'll pay attention and see which toys are their favorite, play with them, have some mental stimulation with scents, hide and seek, or whatever else the dog seems to enjoy! And of course, I'll never turn down a cuddle if I ever get so lucky.

Pet care experience
I've had animals since I could walk. Through childhood I had rabbits, budgie birds, a cat, and always had puppies and/or dogs. I have extensive hands on experience caring for dogs of many sizes, breeds and energy levels. I raised my own German Shepherd puppy from 8 weeks old through adulthood and into her senior years, giving me a strong foundation in puppy training, large-breed exercise and mental stimulation needs, structured routine, and senior dog care. I've also fostered puppies for the last 3 years, gaining experience with early socialization, basic training, potty routines, and helping dogs adjust to new environments. For the last 15+ years, I've provided dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting for community members, friends and family. I'm comfortable with both high-energy dogs and smaller companion dogs, and I feel strongly about the importance to tailor care based on each individual dog. My experience includes feeding, walking, administering various medication, grooming, reinforcing good leash manners, maintaining consistent schedule, and providing attentive in-home care. I prioritize safety, clear communication, and adapting care based on dogs age/needs. They're all so quirky, with their own needs, preferences, and moods! And that's my favorite part :) Having had my own animals, and having been on the other side of looking for a trusted, reliable sitter, I understand how big of a trust it requires and I empathize with you wanting the very best for your pet. I'm genuinely so looking forward to meeting and spending time with your special companion!

Emilie is your girl for stress-free pet care! She has watched my dog Cauliflower for the past 7 years and has also checked in on my self-sufficient cats. I don’t have to worry about a thing when Cauli is with her. Emilie is an outdoor enthusiast so if your pet needs walking she will happily do so. When I think of Emilie, my first thought is "every dogs best friend!" She's loving, caring, responsible and is always up for an adventure. Especially with a furry pal!
