Hello! My name is Emilie and I am a 5th year animal biology student at the University of Guelph. My passion for animals started 16 years ago when my own fluffy boy, a Whoodle named Shelby, came into my life. For the past 16 years he has developed my love for animals and my passion. This passion has driven me towards pursuing a career in animal care. I have worked at a wildlife rehabilitation centre with numerous kinds of wildlife from raccoons to foxes. Over my time in Guelph I have also worked at a doggy daycare and for the past 1.5 years as an animal care attendant at an animal shelter. Through these experiences I have gotten to work with cats, small animals, birds and dogs of all breeds, personalities and sizes. From Cockapoos to Rottweilers, I have had lovely experiences with numerous furry friends!

Emilie is a person who was destined to be amazing with animals. Not only do they love her but she loves them. Every animal she interacts with never wants to leave her side. I remember many months ago she was dog sitting this puppy named Charlie, he followed her around as if she was his owner, so adorable. Not to mention he would always try to snuggle up to her whenever she was sitting down. He can just tell that Emilie is a comfortable and loving person to be around. Emilie’s passion for animals is truly inspiring. I just know she would love to work for this company and she would be so amazing at it. Emilie is a one-of-a-kind person who provides one-of-a-kind love, care, and patience for any animal she meets.

I am currently offering house sitting and dog walking services! With an animal care background, I can administer numerous medications, provide daily enrichment, prepare meals and clean up after your animal.
A typical day
I love to provide enrichment options for dogs in many ways such as enrichment toys, games, physical activities, etc. For example, I love to take some treats and roll them up in a towel that way your pet has to search for them. I also love to play fetch and tug-a-war on walks!
