Safety, trust & environment
I am located a step away from the spacious green-meets-beach Loyola Park and have plenty of indoor area for your pet to cool down. Chew toys and treats can be provided, but I also recommend bringing a couple of your pets’ favorites to make them feel at home!

I am happy to accommodate any special needs, preferences or quirks that your dear pets may have. Feel free to communicate any questions or concerns with me ahead of time.
A typical day
Your pet’s typical day will depend largely on their personality! I find various ways to engage your pets physically and mentally, whether they are a fast-paced exercise lover or a shy-quieter soul (or both! Or anything in between!). I connect with pets’ body language to respond to their needs for snuggles, exercise, stimulation, food/water, shade, first aid and more. There are abundant natural resources for pets within walking distance of my home (a large park, a riverside dog park, shaded sidewalks, and our fair share of friendly neighborhood pets). While it is normal for pets to be initially shy or anxious around a new person, I also believe that communication with you is crucial if anything seems to be off.

Pet care experience
I recently lost my sweet dog of 15 years. During her life, I was a loving and attentive caregiver, enjoying lengthy walks and supporting extensive medical needs. Beyond my own pets, I have also cared for friends’, coworkers’ and neighbors’ pets for 10+ years (dogs, cats and even chickens!). I do this work because of my love for animals!
Cat care experience

Emilia also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Great communication and our 1-year-old puppy clearly had a wonderful time for 6 nights. We will certainly use Emilia again whenever we need it.

We booked a very last minute stay with Emilia when we lost power from a storm. She was accommodating and our dog left very happy. We are so grateful!

Emilia took excellent care of Kona. She asked great questions in preparation for his stay and provided updates throughout the day. Kona is slow to warm up to new people and it was obvious she gained his trust. He came home very happy :) we will definitely work with Emilia in the future!

Emilia was very nice and quick to respond. Thank you!
