Dog loving family home ❤️

My Rover dog sitter profile comes from a genuine place of love for dogs. We recently lost our beloved Pekingese, Pixie, at 13. Our home has felt quieter since, and caring for other dogs feels like the right next step for us. We’re a calm, animal-loving family of four based in a secure, clean and spacious home. Dogs have always been part of our lives, and we truly enjoy having them around. Losing Pixie reminded us how deeply dogs become part of the family. When your dog stays with us, they’ll be cared for with the same kindness, respect, and attention we gave her. Happy to answer questions or arrange a meet-and-greet so you can feel confident and comfortable.

Stirling had such a great time with Emilia and her family! I am very grateful that he had a happy home away from home whilst my family and I travelled. Excellent communication, great updates and Stirling seemed very happy! Thank you so much!

Safety, trust & environment

We care for pets as part of our normal home life, following their usual routine as closely as possible. There’s always at least one person at home, so dogs have regular company, supervision, and reassurance. I stick to your instructions for feeding, walks, medication, and rest, and adjust care to suit your dog’s age, energy level, and personality. In your home, I respect your space and keep things consistent so your pet feels settled, safe, and comfortable.

A typical day

For my Rover pet care, I keep things simple and dog-led. You get calm, active time that suits your pet. I’ll: • Go on regular walks based on your dog’s pace and routine. • Play games like fetch, tug, and scent games at home or outside. • Do short training refreshers if you want. Sit, stay, recall. • Provide company and calm time for dogs that prefer cuddles over chaos. • Keep feeding, medication, and sleep routines consistent. • Send updates and photos so you know how things are going. I adapt to your pet. High-energy dogs get movement. Older or anxious pets get quiet time and reassurance.

Ahead of Rover pet care, it helps to know the basics so I can keep your pet settled and safe. Please share: • Daily routine. Walk times, feeding times, sleep habits. • Behaviour notes. Triggers, fears, reactivity, separation issues. • Health details. Medical conditions, medication, vet contact. • Energy level. Long walks or short potters. • Training cues. Commands you use and any house rules. • Social preferences. Other dogs, children, visitors. • Food details. Portions, treats allowed, allergies. • Comfort items. Favourite toys, beds, blankets. The more you tell me upfront, the smoother Rover pet care will be for your pet and for you.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
