I’m new to Rover but in no way new to dogs—reach out and request my discount link for your first booking with me! I’ve been around dogs my entire life, including a wide array of breeds and varying across experiences of ownership, temporary care, and formal fostering. My passion for dog care and their well-being can be summarized by the underlying core principle: humans are responsible for being our dog’s most reliable and knowledgeable steward. That core tenet has informed everything from how I’ve approached formal training lessons with my most recent dog adoption at 3 months old (now 7) to how I converse with strangers who are hungry to learn more about their own pets. Understanding how our dogs speak to us in their own way is the key to their/our success. Being knowledgeable about the ways in which each kind of dog benefits from a variety of enrichment styles is a must. Any dog I come into contact with receives the love, respect, and responsibility with which I treat my own—ample exercise, safe spaces, and lots of affection and reassurance. I am very active and would willingly walk or run with your pet. I am very experienced with stubborn older dogs that don’t always accept their medication. I am also quite strong (regular lifter) and can happily carry your dogs up and down flights of stairs if needed. Whatever need or desire may arise in the care of your furry family member, I will be happy to go above and beyond!

Emi is not only an animal lover, but also an extremely dedicated, experienced, and responsible pet caregiver. I’ve witnessed directly the devotion with which Emi cares for their own dogs, one of them a senior Shiba Inu with a disability that needs to be carried up and down the stairs and (reluctantly) takes medication regularly. Emi has also volunteered as a foster pawrent for the Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue, helping many maladjusted dogs transition to their furever homes. Emi has always shown love and patience for any pet under their care—even in the most challenging moments (behavioral issues, reactivity, administering medication, or dealing with health emergencies), Emi has met the moment with the utmost kindness and compassion. Whenever I need to leave my pups in good care, I don’t hesitate: Emi is definitely my go-to person.

I have a fenced in yard and two friendly and sweet fur babies (dogs) to keep your baby company. I am also accustomed to working with dogs who need to be separated (my foster training) and have plenty of space if that’s what your pet needs! I can run, walk, or play with your pets as desired/required. You name it, I can provide it!
