I have always had animals since I was a young girl, both cats and dogs. I showed a special interest in them, leading to me attending multiple summer camps for FIDELCO seeing eye dogs. As I got older I began attending conservation summer programs. I have worked on sea turtle conservation efforts in North Carolina. I have also spent a month in Sumatra and Bali, Indonesia contributing to coral reef restoration as well as preserving the local orangutan population. I have watched numerous pets (mostly cats) of family friends as well as my own family during vacations. Upon graduating high school and coming to Oahu for college I began working at a feline-specialty veterinary office as a vet assistant for a year and a half. I also have two cats, who I consider my children.

We cannot recommend our pet sitter highly enough! From the very beginning, Emerson was incredibly empathetic, thoughtful, and attentive to both our dogs and our concerns as pet parents. She took the time to really get to know each of our dogs’ personalities, routines, and little quirks, which immediately put us at ease. Her intelligence and professionalism were evident in every interaction. She communicated clearly, asked great questions, and paid close attention to every detail of their care. We received thoughtful updates that reassured us our dogs were not only safe, but happy and comfortable. What truly stood out was the genuine care and compassion she showed. It was clear that she treats the animals she cares for as if they were her own. Knowing our dogs were in such capable, responsible, and caring hands gave us complete peace of mind. If you are looking for someone who is trustworthy, detail-oriented, compassionate, and exceptionally professional, you will be very lucky to have her care for your pets. Emerson A. would provide extraordinary care for your pet or pets. In addition to being raised from infancy around our household companions, she has worked tirelessly at the same feline veterinary clinic since arriving in August, 2024. She has done everything from assist in surgeries to going into the office alone on weekends and holidays to feed, clean up after and care for the animals being boarded during those times. Obviously she is highly dependable or the doctors running the practice would not entrust her with their many patients. Emerson brings the same dedication to all her endeavors, achieving great marks at the University of Hawaii. In addition, she is a disciplined self-starter who would entertain and take fantastic care of your pets.

Schedule
I am currently a student with a relatively light courseload. I have two classes each day with the exception of fridays. Aside from that I have flexible availability!

- If your cat is relatively tolerant, I am able administer medication in transdermal, injection, and oral form if needed. Additionally if your dog is not the best on a leash and/or aggressive please let me know! As I do not feel comfortable in either situations and do not want to cause harm to your pup or anyone else.
