Tired dogs, happy owners!
Hello everyone, my name is Ema I am a Registered Veterinary Technician and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. More importantly I am a dog owner and animal lover, I have owned dogs all my life and have worked with a variety of breeds in the field. Ryan though not certified in the field has gained a lot of experience about dogs, the care they require and has won the hearts of all of our boarders, even the ones who don't like men! All pets must be up to date with vaccines and be on flea and tick prevention (not flea collars) - NO EXCEPTIONS! Due to the fluctuation in our schedule we are unable to provide long term re-occurring visits/walks. We also understand in this day and age of technology everyone has camera's but for our privacy we ask that all camera's be turned off while we are in the home (or can be un-plugged). Alba our labrador had a lovely time with Ema and Ryan! They were very responsive and flexible regarding drop off and pick up. We got regular photo updates during his stay and he looked to be having a really great time! We would highly recommend!
Jake returned home safe, and Ryan was responsive when I asked questions. However, there were a few important details that I wish had been communicated more clearly before the stay. We booked with the understanding that both Emma and Ryan would be caring for Jake, but Emma was out of the country for much of the booking, and we were not informed of this in advance. I would have appreciated knowing that Ryan would be the only person primarily responsible for his care. Jake is a young, active, well-trained dog with excellent recall who loves fetch, off-leash exercise, and swimming. During his stay, he remained on leash and don’t think was taken to an off-leash park, allowed to play fetch off leash, or taken swimming. Emma and Ryan explained that they do not take dogs swimming until they feel comfortable with them, which is understandable, but I think this policy should be made clearer in the profile or discussed before booking. I am also taking Ryan at his word that Jake was not left alone for more than four hours at a time, although I was left somewhat uncertain about how much exercise and activity Jake received overall. This may be a better fit for an older or less active dog. For owners of high-energy dogs, I would recommend confirming in advance what type of exercise, off-leash activity, swimming, and supervision will actually be provided, as well as which sitter will be present during the stay. Thank you.
Ema and Ryan took amazing care of my 10 year old. They shared updates daily and my senior pup came back home healthy and happy.
We feel so fortunate to have had Ema and Ryan take care of our big St. Bernard, Freddy, on multiple occasions. Freddy is always so well cared for and feels right at home when he is in Ema and Ryan's home. 10/10 would book again.
Ema and Ryan were so great with my boys! They were so flexible and easy to work with, which I really appreciated. They truly made the whole experience seamless. I will definitely book with them again!
Ema and Ryan were excellent!! I highly recommend them. I know we will definitely be using them again. I feel super comfortable with them. They were very professional and you can tell that they love dogs. Our dog absolutely loved them. They sent daily updates and photos and our dog was very well cared for.

Schedule
While I work during the day, Ryan's schedule in the late afternoon and evenings means the dogs are never alone for long. He's always there to get a walk in, serve up dinner, and give some extra love before heading out. We do our best to ensure someone is home as much as possible, though like any household there will be periods where the dogs have some quiet time to themselves. We work as a team and always make sure everyone is having a great time in our care and most importantly, we treat them like family!

Safety, trust & environment
We do not have a fenced in yard but we have lots of green space in front of our building and live right next to High Park. The dogs are never let off leash to ensure their safety, unless we are in a fenced in yard. If needed/requested we do have 2 crates that can be used for your dog, along with a variety of toys but you are also more than welcome to bring whatever other toys/blankets/bedding to make their stay more comfortable.
A typical day
We live right near High Park/Grenadier Pond and Lake Ontario. Our typical walks are through the park or down by the lake and with lots of toys at home your dog will always have something to do!
