I work from home most of the time, so my schedule is very flexible. I do occasionally have to work in person in which case I am away 6-8 hours. I love taking breaks during work from home to walk or check in on pets and I am committed to keeping their routine consistent and free of stress.

I live with a large, extremely friendly dog in a building which has a large fenced backyard. While I’m not offering boarding right now, I’m happy to host drop ins in the backyard if desired.

It’s really helpful to know their routine, energy level, and personality. For instance if they’re more playful, shy, or need a little extra patience. I also like to know any quirks, triggers, or things to avoid, plus how they are with other dogs/animals/people. And of course any health needs, medications, or special instructions so I can keep everything as comfortable as possible for them while you're gone :)

I like to feel out what each pet is into. If they’re playful, I love to play with toys or fetch! If they’re more chill, I’m more than happy to hang out, give lots of pets, and keep them company. I can also stick to any routines or do a little light training if that’s part of their day. Mostly I just try to make sure they’re comfortable and getting the kind of attention they like.

Hi there I'm Em (they/them)! I've been obsessed with dogs for most of my life and have been taking care of them since my sibling and I convinced my parents to adopt a puppy when I was very young. There's little I love more than getting to know the different personalities and quirks of animals and figuring out what makes them happy. As an assistant archivist I am very detail oriented, and as a runner and soccer player I am used to physical challenges and being outside in all types of weather. I am also queer friendly and covid cautious and would love nothing more than to care for your pet!

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Em. They are so communicative, respectful, and warm and I could tell that my cat, Maki, was well taken care of :) Em took the initiative to send multiple updates and photos throughout the day, left the apartment spotless, and followed up to make sure everything was okay. They are an absolute angel and will be my new go-to pet sitter!
Em did a wonderful job caring for Ollie. They were communicative, responsible, and flexible when I was unexpectedly delayed getting home. Ollie seemed to have a wonderful time and I’d be thrilled to have them watch him again in the future.
This was our first time using Rover and our first time leaving our 9-week-old puppy, North, with someone who wasn't family. We were definitely a little nervous, but Em made us feel completely comfortable and at ease. Taking care of a 9-week-old puppy is no small task, and Em did an amazing job with North. We received updates throughout the day and knew he was in great hands. We've already booked recurring days with Em and highly recommend them!
Em was great with my dog while I was away for the weekend! I received updates and pictures while I was away and came back to a very happy pup!
