Pet care experience

Genuine dog lover, love a good run.

🐶 About Me Hi! I’m Elyssa — a reliable, attentive animal lover who genuinely enjoys caring for pets as if they’re my own. I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your pet with someone, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m calm, patient, and very tuned in to animal behaviour. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or prefers a slower, cozy vibe, I adjust to their personality and routine. I’m especially attentive to signs of discomfort, stress, or changes in behaviour — your pet’s safety and wellbeing always come first. ⸻ 🐾 My Experience • Experience with medium to large breeds • Comfortable with senior dogs and dogs with mobility considerations • Familiar with basic training cues and reinforcing good habits • Confident handling dogs on leash • Experienced with feeding routines, medication schedules, and special instructions I also understand that some dogs can be anxious when their owners are away. I focus on keeping their routine consistent and providing reassurance, structure, and lots of positive attention. ⸻ 🏡 What You Can Expect ✔️ Reliable and punctual ✔️ Frequent photo and video updates ✔️ Clear communication ✔️ Clean and respectful care of your home ✔️ Lots of love, belly rubs, and enrichment I treat every pet like family — and I know they aren’t “just dogs.” They’re your babies.

Schedule

I work shift-based hours, which gives me flexibility that a traditional 9–5 schedule doesn’t. On my days off, I have full daytime availability for walks, drop-ins, and quality time. On workdays, I’m often available mornings, evenings, or overnight depending on my rotation. Because I’m used to managing a rotating schedule, I’m very organized and intentional with my time. I only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to, and I avoid overbooking so every dog receives calm, focused attention. Shift work also means I’m comfortable with early mornings, late evenings, and non-traditional routines — which is perfect for pet parents who work long hours or unconventional schedules themselves. Your dog won’t feel rushed or squeezed in — they’ll have dedicated, reliable care built into my week.
