We stay close to home on walks until we are familiar with the area or each other. Then I try to change up the route to make it interesting. Due to the ongoing issues with dog parks we will refrain from going there. For drop ins walks will only be provided to the end of the block if there is no yard for bathroom breaks so they can stretch their legs.

Are they good with other dogs or animals, specials diets, medications, allergies, any particular areas I should avoid on walks, do they have special winter gear for when its cold, how are they with strangers and kids, house broken, leash reactive or food aggression, do they like to pull or try to chase things, any communicable illness at present.
A typical day
Walks through the park or down by the river if it’s not too cold. Fetch in the yard on the colder days or cuddles inside if it’s too cold to stay out long. No cold noses or toes.

Pet care experience
(Note: past clients please note the minor changes below. Rates, evenings and weekends are still available for past clients only) Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind. I care for them like my very own. I'm very protective and cautious and make sure that they get the best care possible. No short cuts. I am very punctual. I'm good with the cold. I can handle more than one dog at a time. I'm cautious when approaching other dogs or animals and I have no problem with special diets or staying longer to spend some extra time with them if they need some extra love and care. I currently work seasonally. So I am unavailable between March/April until November/December. Between those times I am only accepting cats. The latest I book is until 2:30pm with the last booking starting at 2:30 (Cats being an exception) as I ride at 3:30. Housesitting is currently unavailable except for past clients until March/April then I can only take cats due to long working hours. I am currently only accepting new clients in city only as I will be returning to work in March/April. Please note that if your pet has kennel cough bookings will need to be halted until symptoms have been gone for a week or cleared by a vet as non contagious to be safe

Elysia has walked our dog several times in the past, but this was our first time booking her to dog sit overnight in our home for a few days. She is always friendly, reliable, and prompt to respond to texts. We appreciated coming home to the house just as we had left it :) Thanks so much Elysia!
This was the second time Elysia house sat and watched my two cats. Like I said previously, my cats who are pretty shy just love her! She sure has a way with animals. She also kept my house neat and tidy and sent lots of picture updates. Thanks again!
