In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment with lots of supervision, playtime, exercise, and affection. I stick to their usual routines so they feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal schedule to reduce stress. I follow feeding instructions carefully, give fresh water, administer medication if needed, and make sure they get plenty of walks, play, and attention. I also keep the home tidy and provide regular updates so owners feel at ease while they are away.

I like to understand their feeding schedule, exercise habits, medical needs, behavioral quirks, and what makes them feel most comfortable. Knowing their likes, dislikes, fears, and favorite activities helps me provide care that feels familiar, safe, and stress free for them.
A typical day
I tailor activities to each dog’s unique needs, energy level, and temperament. Whether it’s playing fetch, going on long walks, practicing tricks, offering enrichment games, giving plenty of belly rubs, or simply cuddling and relaxing together, I make sure they feel safe, engaged, happy, and truly loved while you’re away.

With over 3 years of experience in pet care, I’ve had the privilege of walking, pet-sitting, and providing in-home stays for dogs (and the occasional Cat) across Hertfordshire. Elysia is a wonderful pet caregiver, with animals being drawn to her. She looked after my staffy called Mullet off and on for a period of two months and the bond they created was second to none. She puts the dogs needs first and can read signs and signals that your pet gives. I would highly recommend Elysia as a pet caregiver and look forward to her looking after Mullet when she is next in Australia.
